Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
Nice. I'll take an extra 6th. I like how this FO trades down a few spots to pick up late round picks and it feels like the usually get their guys anyway.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
There goes Massie to AZ. Good pick birds.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
Massie's gone
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
The 49ers picked up an extra 3rd, 5th and 6th in 2013 with all of this trading back. Smart stuff.

Did they do it with Grossman? (Haven't been following the media reports recently.) |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
the more I think about the cousins pickup the more i like it.
god forbid... If RGIII goes out with a knee injury... DC's heart would be broken, and we'd be back to the drawing board with Rex. I like it. |
ta'amu is gone, steelers picked him with our old pick.
Figures. Steelers know D! |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
Lol, Herman Edwards just facepalmed Jaws for alluding to Cousins being a threat to RG3. First time I've ever enjoyed seeing a face palm.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
and the massing of picks...I like it! great draft again. I am curious to see how the guard we picked up works out. odd pick...put I trust the shannaplan

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
Cousins right now is a better player than Beck. Boom.

No. But at the same time he does. I don't care where you are picked, or if you are even pick at all. If you get to try out for the team, you have a chance to start. If you do better than your competition, you start, its as simple as that. But there is zero expectation that Cousins will compete for the starting job. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
les miles needs to open his eyes.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
Les Miles going off on NFL Network about how his former Defensive Back coach is now an NFL coach with Tampa. Please Les, be more obvious. I can't tell if you're in recruiting mode.

i think we should take OT zebrie sanders from Florida State or OT brandon mosley from Auburn if either one is available

Let Cousins have a monster pre season coupled with RG3 struggling a little bit. This is Washington folks, the controversy will be on like neck bones.

Think about it...otherwise we'd be stuck taking a stab at colt mccoy, clausen etc. welcome to the skins cousins |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
Also, we trade down two spots in the 3rd and get a 7th.
we trade down 18 in the 4th and get a 6th. I guess it's the number of slots as opposed to the round, but it just seems like the 3rd round trade should have netted more. - Not objecting, just think it's odd. BTW - I am all about adding picks. It's a pick f'ing crapshoot so just keep adding rolls of the dice. It's not like we are trading out of the rounds all together so for a slight decrease in percentages, we get an extra roll. I really like how this FO handles the draft - just from a pick accumulation basis. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
If RG3 can't beat out a 4th round pick, even one as talented as Cousins, he doesn't deserve to start.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
The Panthers just traded a 6th this year and a 3rd next year for a 4th rounder and picked Adams who has had a stroke? The kid looks like a player but he could be out of football just as fast, that is a gamble.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3
I would love to see them take Asa Jackson

With certain guys still on the draft board it may take a little more to convince a team to trade back. Who knows? |

Ok 119 is coming...... Blair Walsh or Drew Butler?

George Iloka is too talented for us to pass up.
And whats the deal with Dennard, why has he slipped so far? Should we draft him? |

I dont understand why every team doesnt trade back like the 49ers just did as often as they can. They moved up, and got an extra pick. I'm sorry, whats the downside? |

Waiting for someone to call the Cousins pick a slap in the face to RG3, will RG3 hold out as a result?
