I was thinking about our horrible kicker and then I remembered when we drafted a punter. Who was that guy anyway?
It was Brooks. Kid had a leg on him, but he was inconsistent as hell.
We do, but now it would 10-7. I would it rather be 14-7. Yes, 10-7 is better than 7-7. But, our offense hasn't done much today and that continues to be a problem.

I still think we need a new FG kicker, and the team's inability to get a kicker, when you have a whole bunch of teams getting great play from rookie kickers this season is ridiculous.
What? Offense continues to be the problem tbis year? Dix you watch the first 4 games this year? Im confident our offense will come out in the 2nd half

putting my perspective hat on. Feeling good that we're tied at the half even if this is a boring game.

Probably hoping he'd bust a big one like he's been doing all day.

Defense held up well for first half, now they need to find away to pressure Matt. Morris is definitely a stud

We've had plenty of chances to have a good lead. Although, I am glad it's tied I fear when ATL starts clicking.

It's a good thing. Most people came into this thinking we were going to get blown out.

WilbursHomie 10-07-2012 02:32 PM

Mean while Suisham is 6-6 this year. We're cursed.

skinsfaninok 10-07-2012 02:32 PM

Well defense is playing better that's good.

Hey guys i just logged on havnt seen a play, if the Butler has been busting them all day how come we only have 7 pts?? How far was the Cundiff miss???

Sad that missed field goal changed the game. Man, I wish RG3 woulda seen Moss wide open for six in the red zone. Could be up 14 zip. oh well.

You can put up all of the yardage you want, but when you don't convert on 3rd downs, you're not going to win many games. Coming into this game, we were converting only 25 percent of 3rd downs, way at the bottom in 3rd down conversion.

31 yards. It's like deja vu, Crusty. :(

I don't think they are playing any better. how many 3rd downs did Atl convert. we stopped the big plays. but you wait and see the Falcons will score 28 in the 2nd half alone. color me sick of the skins at this specific moment.

Yep. Durant Brooks. I still remember Zorn chewing his ass out on the sideline.

They are gonna score in second half, we will have to get it going. Our receivers aren't doing much today, aside from good run blocking.

Was good! INT on an attempted screen pass. You know how Kerrigan usually gets his hands up on those? Got his hands up and got the INT. :D

The Falcons are 6-10 in 3rd down conversion, meanwhile we are 0-4. This includes a missed 3rd and 2 in the red zone.

So you say points matter? Thats obvious.. We are 3rd in the league in scoring. Your delusional. Its a different game and both teams are playing decent defense as of now. It can change in the 2nd half.

Time to put up points on the opening drive.

Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread

I think if someone told us on Friday that we'd be 7-7 at the half, we all would have taken it.

I think this is the type of game we wanted. Run the ball, prevent the big plays on D.

Time to crank up the passing game with some play action.

I think RG3 is going to need to put up at least 100 more passing yards for us to really get into this game.

We are bad on 3rd downs.... Should of been a face mask. Would of liked to see a call from the shotgun there or a PA pass

They're showing their hand using the I-formation.

WilbursHomie 10-07-2012 02:48 PM

I like the running but I think it's time to start throwing down field.

One day.. We will have both sides of the ball clicking, and making FGs

I'm with you. I don't know why they're trying to rein RG3 in. Usually we've thrown at least 1 deep pass in the first half.

CrustyRedskin 10-07-2012 02:49 PM

Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread

0-5 on 3rd down is not keeeping Ryan off the field!!
