Here's what might be happening:

- Kirk's pissed off and doesn't want to play for the Redskins.

- His agent is telling the Redskins that Kirk wants a trade to SF and only SF.

- SF wants Kirk but they don't want to give up the #2 pick in the draft.

If I were negotiating for the Redskins, at this point I would:

- Tell Kirk and his agent that I would try to trade him to SF.

- I would also tell them that if I can't get a fair trade, they have four choices: They can agree to accept a trade elsewhere, they can resume negotiations, Kirk can sign the Franchise Tag deal, or Kirk can sit out the 2017 season.

- I would tell SF that the only way they can get Kirk is by way of a deal that starts with the #2 pick and that the Skins will be keeping their #17 pick. There will be no swap of 1st Round picks.

- Then I wouldn't worry about it anymore. Whatever happens happens.

If this trade goes down, the number 2 overall pick would go to Dallas. That's crazy as shit and makes no sense for the Skin's. Romo is not worth a first round pick at age 37.

Dumbest rumor ever. In that case, just take the 2nd pick for yourself. Draft 2nd and 17th. Trade a later pick for AJ McCarron.

i would agree with this 100% . . . AJ McCarron would be pretty good IMO . . . and we wouldn't be helping Dallas . . . no way this BS rumor happens.

Even if this rumor is fake its still another thing to make this organization look bad. Why do we have to deal with this shit every year?? Ian Rappaport must have either heard this trade scenario wrong or he is smoking some really good weed. That trade rumor he is reporting as news would be the the worst trade ever in Redskins history. We lose Cousins in his prime and get one foot in the grave Romo? What kind of horse shit is that?
Why is there so much talk of Romo and the Redskins?
The guy is one hit away from retirement. Anyone that thinks he can stay is smoking the same sticky ickey as Ian Rappaport.
If Snyder brings Romo to Washington I will officially quit being a Redskins fan.
I will also fly to Redskins park and let Snyder know he needs to stop making football decisions by kicking him in the balls.

Maybe so, but with the history of the Redskins decisions under Dan Snyder we are, of course, inclined to believe it.

This can't be true because i don't know what I'll do if I can no longer debase myself enough to be a Redskins fan.

This is the worst rumor out of every rumor I have ever heard. Cowboys get rid of Romo, we get worse at qb, SF gets Kirk, and Cowboys get #2 draft pick? That trade is so insanely, mind-boggling terrible even Madden wouldn't approve it.
