Houston was held to 58 yards rushing.
Foster had 69 yards today with 19 carries, but it was enough for them to be suckered into play action REPEATEDLY. When you're being suckered into play action, that means the D respects the O's running game. Foster also had a long reception. |
Take a look at how many yards Houston gained today.
I think this may kinda show you how good their offense really is this season. They'll dominate with whatever you give them... last week it was on the ground and this week it was through the air. |
Re: Redskins vs. Texans Gameday Thread
Texans proved today that they are a legit contender
what, dude Reed's responsibility was Johnson and he had him in the endzone. Its a jump ball and Reed couldnt make the play period. why you taking up for him? Reed struggles constantly in coverage and when he had an opportunity to prove people wrong and he gets played like a punk. eff him
The guy is the back up FS. The smart thing would have been for two people to cover Andre Johnson. Very few FS can go toe to toe with Andre Johnson and win in a jump ball situation. Look at the big picture in things like this. |
Re: Redskins vs. Texans Gameday Thread
Reed Doughty is awful. He is a quality NFL special teams player.
If Reed Doughty is your starting safety in the NFL you lose. Period. |
The Giants kind of already did that to us last year.
And that didn't hurt cause we were never in it, when you lose a game like this, its like a playoff loss for me. |
Re: Redskins vs. Texans Gameday Thread
The 3-4 isn't the problem, right now it's the secondary
Asking Reed Doughty to win a one-on-one battle against the best receiver in football is like asking a Prius to beat a Ferrarri in a street race.
Why wasn't one of our top corners lined up against AJ? Buchanon?
great question for Haselett. But I wouldnt blame Buchanon if the defense scheme says let the safety over the top take the responsibility for the player in his zone while he takes the underneath coverage. Asking Reed to make a play in coverage is a fail 9 out of 10 regardless who he goes against |

Even before today I hated it. |
Re: Redskins vs. Texans Gameday Thread
we also need to create more turnovers. we had the one early on, but we need more. to be this aggressive we need to produce more turnovers.

Sheesh, you think people would point out our starting RT committing a terrible false start in a critical point in the game. Or our horrible run D. Instead, NO let's complain about how our BACK UP free safety got beat by the best wide receiver in the NFL. |
Re: Redskins vs. Texans Gameday Thread
We will bounce back with a W next week vs STL.. But we really need to do something with the run game.

yeah, but I think our play by our down linemen needs to improve. AC had a big game. Kemo, Gholston-we get very little out of these guys. Hate to say it, but Albert was missed today up front |
