Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
It's a race between us and Seattle to get Macdonald (just my opinion only). I already hate the Seahawks, that would take it to another level.
I am not buying the asking salary was the issue. If it was they wouldn't have been flying out to interview him a second time. I genuinely think this was a shock to the FO. It is possible it was smoke and mirrors to distract Seattle from Glenn or BJ said I am not going to negotiate but I am guessing there is a different reason he is staying put.
He's an analyst... a great OC. Not a leader of men. Period. |
Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
BJ was asking for 15 million a year. That absolutely has everything in to do with why he is still in Detroit. He is betting on himself, at age 37, that he can duplicate the results from this year, perhaps surpass them, and that someone is going to pay him what he wants after the next cycle.
He's a pussy; that's why he dropped out. I'm glad he's out now that I know he's afraid to be a HC. |

not looking good . . . McDonald is flying to Seattle for a meeting today after meeting with him for the first time yesterday. |
Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Is it possible that there may be a reset on the Commanders' HC search?

Yeah something tells me that is it. He is young 37 just not ready. Maybe he never will be. We know this "leader" trait is important to Peters as a HC. FWIW I don't think Kyle in SF is a leader so maybe there is something there to look at in regards to what Peters doesn't want. |
Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Still weird how Vrable doesn't seem to be even getting mentioned.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Totally just my own speculation, if Quinn is hired it will be as DC with the assistant head coach title to help out who will be a first time HC, either someone like Glenn or Anthony Weaver.

He doesn't seem to be getting any mentions at all, some were saying he was on the short list in San Diego but that's all about I've read. Maybe he's ok with sitting out a year. |

Waiting for the announcement like:

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
do you just roll with EB for a year and see what pops up next year versus settling for a dude that could just be wheel spinning for the next 4 years

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Looks like Mayhew and Hurney might be staying

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I don't want another culture guy like Quinn.
My knock on Quinn is his team shit the bed once Kyle Shanahan left. ATL with Kyle: 18-13 ATL without Kyle: 24-29 |
Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
We are down to like 3 Candidates.. EB may be the guy lol

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
