She has a cool and interesting voice, but her backing band (especially the drummer, bass) are playing a little too tight. That voice could use a lil more loose playing to compliment her. Some times a lil sloppy and not so technical is a good thing.

I am trying to find this soul/ska band out of new orleans, i thought their name was The Desmonds but i cant find them anywhere. i just herd one of their songs on wtmd so i think they are starting to get play nationally on the alt rock public access/college stations.

i did find this college jam band The Desmond Kingsley Band above who sound pretty damn good.
