Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Bradford trade, Ohilly received a 1 & 3. We should get more than an old injury prone QB. Night as well sign RG III too and have three injury prone guys on the roster. Maybe the three of them could complete 16 games and win us 5 games

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
We better get multiple picks from San Fran then. That is my main thing. Supply and demand and he is the hottest FA commodity on the market. Multiple picks to get a QB, bolster the D, and/or maybe get a shiny new WR.
I worry SF won't offer much because they know kirk walks next yr. Also what rookie can we get at 17? Maybe Watson but that kid just doesn't have the accuracy right now. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
I still say it ends up Cousins in a long term contract. This all seems like a lot of disinformation.
It could all be fake news. We don't need Dallas to be involved at all if we were going to trade Kirk. A straight up trade for Kirk with San Fran would garner multiple picks for us, including the moving up to #2. If we trade Kirk odds are it means the end of Scott M and Gruden after 2017, unless we get to the playoffs. IF that happens I will be truly over this franchise. |

Do they want to wait a year? That is the question. They still need a QB now that Kap is a FA. They need a QB now!!!!!!!!!!!!! The market is hot for Kirk. In a trade that helps the Skins, in resigning him it hurts them. The FO might not think he is worth what he wants and the only way to get something is get a trade done. It is the only way they can look like a winner in this after screwing up not signing him last year for less. I still hope this isn't the case and they are going to sign him to a long term deal. I wonder if this is just the media idiots at NFL.com trying to actually make news. It could just be a total misinformation campaign. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Why do we think Kirk is pushing to leave? Why can't this all be feeling out our options? I'm sure the team wants Kirk back. At the same time he holds a lot of leverage. It makes it tough to get it done and also keep anything possibly related out of the media due to our market size.

I agree SF needs a QB this year. Anybody going to SF will require 18 - 20 million a year. I do not think they are willing to take a mulligan on this year. They will eaither draft a QB or sign someone. Kyle maybe a boy genius but he has 3 years to show an improvement. He can't afford to waste a year and hope KC walks. What happens if Tom Brady gets hurt this year and NE needs a QB next year? Would KC go to SF over NE? I think the Redskins have all the leverage. He signs the tag or he doesn't. If he doesn't sign, he doesn't play and he looses 24 million. If he doesn't sign a long term deal, he rids the pine on the practice squad and Colt is the starter. We draft in the top 5 next year and we have a long term QB. Nobody is going to give him a 20+ million a season long term deal after sitting the pine for a season. From the cheap seats in Nebraska, it looks like a media driven shit storm. |

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
The Washington Post seems to feel this is nonsense. Master T saying the Niners are not interested in trading a bunch of picks, and Mike Jones saying he is told the Skins aren't interested in Romo.
|
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
What are the motivations for a three-way trade?
SF wants Kirk and to stay in the 1st Round. Washington wants the #2 pick and a solid bridge QB for the next 2-3 seasons. Dallas wants to get something for Romo. The next steps would be: SF gets Kirk from Washington and the #28 pick from Dallas Washington gets the #2 pick from SF and Tony Romo from Dallas. Dallas gets the #17 pick from Washington. Those would be the primary pieces. There would be some other picks traded back and forth, as well, to even out the deal. |

Lol, that's pretty good. Nicely played. |
Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
That trade will never happen. What else is there to discuss?

Wife not happy with me today. She said I was extremely rude and unsocial last night to our guest. I told her to blame Snyder and the dysfunctional Redskins. It's not my fault all the BS trade rumors started when I walked in the door..
Highly, highly unlikely this trade happens, but Rap doesn't bring this up if those teams aren't all talking in some way
according to pft its completely made up conjecture . . .
