"coming back to new orleans" played at the spotted cat on frenchmen street.

ive def seen the singer guy a few times. the clarinet player im almost positive is also the clarinet player in the treme brass band who played to my daughter for a bit as we danced the second line right behind them in mid city.

going to frenchmen st is a must. spotted cat, 3 muses and a few other joints are awesome.

If you haven't seen pearl jam live...you gotta do it once. Unfuckingbelievable...not a huge fan of their music...but live they are a top live act.

I second that ^

I've seen PJ a bunch of times, they're a band I'll travel for, saw them in Memphis last year. They just kick ass live.

Damn...having 90s nostalgia music day while setting up my new weber smoker. Music of my teenage years: faith no more, smashing pumpkins 'Siamese Dream' , primus, Janes addiction, sound garden, the first weezer album, and the most underrated band in rock history: Alice in Chains: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-xQQzi0IdLY

Unbelievable...

If they do a stadium tour, im probably gonna go. The original line is just too nostalgic to pass up...I was 11 when they broke and got that "tape" and wore it out. If G n R would have stayed together, they probably would been bigger than Zeppelin as the all time hard rock band. People too young to remember, but Guns & Roses were absolutely massive back in the day. Appetite is one of the biggest albums of all time

Slash and Duff with this them gives this tour cred...wish Izzy would join too, him and Axl are still close.

Tremendously talented band..Broke my heart when they broke up.....
I saw Axl about 6 years ago and he was still good. He took the stage 2 hours late(no doubt a Mr. Brownstone prob), but other than that....great

I was lucky enough to see GNR back in 1991, just before the Use Your Illusion albums came out. Appetite is one of my all time favs.

LOL, With all due respect,.....NO ONE will ever be bigger or better than Led Zeppelin.(as hard rock bands go)

Re: What song are you listening to right now?

Agree, if they woulda kept going they might have been, but the Seattle scene and axl kinda killed that momentum. I'm a huge Zeppelin fan, but I think in the context of time G n R were about as big a rock band since Zeppelin...worldwide.

Nirvana kinda made the scene where g n roses came from uncool.

Guns n Roses is a band where u gotta strip away the image and persona a bit and just listen to the music. Very much like the grateful dead...the scene and image of the dead, a lot of folks didn't like, were turned off, etc. But if you just listen to the dead for the music, then you realize "holy shit, super talented, innovative, original," etc. Guns n Roses gotta do a little bit of that. Use your illusion albums are about as well written, strong musically, complex, and well produced and arranged as the top all time rock albums. Appetite is just a raw rocker...use your illusions albums really underrated musically.
