Sorry 12th. Maybe I quoted the wrong person. It looked like you were writing it. Then after I posted my comment quoting what I thought was yours I see that you were refering to someone elses comments. I think.
Piss poor, really? Slow down, we haven't gotten to draft day yet.
You have to figure Casey Rabach, D.Dockery, and maybe Levi Jones will be three of your five starters. Keep in mind we signed Levi Jones late October, but now we'll have him for a full training camp. So I expect him to be in better shape and, quite frankly, a better offensive tackle. The other two spots will probably go to a drafted rookie (hopefully a really good one), Chad Rinehart and/or Artis Hicks, and maybe another FA between now and the start of the season. All I'm saying is it's still very early and we can't grab every Tom, Dick, and Harry FA out there just because they're available.
OMG. #1- How do you know there is not a plan? #2- How do you know they are not executing the plan? #3- Why do we fans always believe we should be in the know on the plans? If we knew the plans so would all the other teams and they would game plan around that. Possibly screwing us in the process. Then there's the fact that I keep calling it rebuild mode. Yeah I know Allen said he didn't like the word or something but by avoiding the term people get the false sense of security plus with his "we are not that bad of a team" speach people are right back in the "we are just one player or 3 away from being contenders" mode. Your upset that they didn't come out ball to the walls signing people. I'm dissapointed also but seeing that we didn't just throw money away to try to solve a problem with an aged vet makes be happy. Now ask me how we are going to fill the position? I have no Fing clue. :) But you can't tell me we hired two inept front office/HCing people who don't know what they are doing and they wouldn't be doing it with out a plan.
I'm not sure how or why my name is being quoted here when I responding to someone else. But I think you and I are on the same page. |

Your's did the same thing mine did when I tried to quote what I thought was your statement. The site blended my quote with your statement. LOL.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
I'm really nervous about the holes we have on the team right now. There's not a lot of quality UFAs and the team cannot afford to lose draft picks. Tendering Rodgers and McIntosh could bring interest.

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
It's going to have to be a slow rebuilding process because this team needs lots of pieces. As we have seen, just going out and picking 3 or 4 people who are the best of just one free agent year is not the way to build prolonged success.
Many of the free agents who were out there were around the 30 years old. So they can play at a high level for another 3-4 years? The skins do just need to take it slow and draft some lineman and pick and choose where in free agency to do something. Even if they went out and got every offensive lineman available, our center is still suspect, our RG is suspect, our QB is a question mark, we don't have much at RB or FB, we have unproven WR with a declining Moss, and for defense a poor secondary. It's going to take a while guys. |

Real Redskins:
RT @NandoGroup: @SI_PeterKing I'm hearing that LT wants to play for the #Redskins, that's from a Charger guy here in SD that works with LT So LT or Willie Parker guys? |

Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
Any RB would be crazy not to want to be in Shanahan's scheme since they have produced 1000+ yards runners every year. It would go a long way to prove to people your not as bad as everyone thinks you are.

More like it overstates the RB's ability and understates the OL's contribution...until the RB goes elsewhere. Portis and Terrell Davis were exceptions, but they were also exceptional statistically in the system as well. |
Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
The reality is that the new FO had nothing to do with setting the FA market and the cuts made to the current roster were right on point with needs to be filled throughout the draft.

Come on now. A fundamental change that is needed in the FO is the squandering of cash for guys that don't earn their keep with huge contracts. I doubt AH would have been signed by Allen for $100 million. So far the the guy's stay here is mixed at the very best. With our relatively quiet FA period thus far, you can already see the change coming. How can some teams be perennial winners being tens of millions under the cap? Smart business and great scouting revolving around a good business plan. And your bitching about a slow rebuilding process? Allen and co are trying to reverse a decade old spending binge and ad hoc business model that produced substandard results. It is like trying to clean up a heroine addict. Not going to happen overnight. |

Limas Sweed is basically done in Pittsburgh. The Rotoworld report says that the Stillers are conducting business like he's not even there. Apparently, he's a little slow, but he's big at 6' 4''

I would consider using him as possible trade bait. Highly unlikely someone will take him though. |

Hicks signing was a good move. Look there isnt a lot out there to choose from and honestly I love the fact we seemed to be focused on the one area being overlooked for the last 5 years.........Good job Allen |
