Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Everytime Bruce talks I just want him to get fired in the worst way. He just rubs me the wrong way with his smug ass personality.
I really believe Bruce Allen is there to take the pressure off Dan Snyder. Hire a bad cop to make Snyder look better. Before Bruce Allen it was a guy named Vinny Cerrato. Same MO. , no real NFL knowledge, performed as the team’s GM but did not have the title. This was the era when Cerrato / Snyder thought they could win the SB by hiring free agents - generally, over-expensive, over-the-hill, football stars with little or no gas in their tanks. Guys who had been a pro bowl player 5-10 years before they came to the skins. At one point we had the NFL’s oldest team. I seem to remember Bruce Smith playing the Edge position and getting a single sack in a season - but he broke the all-time record for sacks. What a ridiculous strategy that was and a complete and utter failure. After 20 years at least Snyder has learned enough to try to win through the draft and also drafting for the lines. But keeping Smithers around to be his patsy all these years combined with the last 20 years, nah he is a narcissistic weasel. |
D’Angelo Hall says he has spoken with Trent and he won’t show up. Take it for what it’s worth.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Sorry but I disagree. He has to show up to get credit for this year. Is he going to retire if the skins do not trade him? I do not see it. He wants one more big contract. If he can push his way out of town, the next team will most likely extend him.

Texans getting a 3rd rounder and 2 players. |
Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
At least the Texans are getting something for Crownley. Bruce is living in “la,la, denial-land”, where everything you wish for actually happens. Living in denial land, comes with a used pair of red ruby slippers which you put in your feet and tap together and say the following words, “Trent Willams wants to go home, Trent Williams wants to go home, I believe in the tooth fairy , Santa Claus and Josh Doctson winning the MVP award in 2019.”

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
If this really is about money Trent is probably banking on Penn/Flowers being so terrible the team will have no choice but to renegotiate. A solid plan imo.
If this isn't about money, Trent has made it clear to Allen/Gruden he never plans to wear this uni again, they need to maximize value amongst trade partners right now. Play it right and they'll earn some good will, play it wrong and it will confirm for the umpteenth time they're dumbasses. All the statements from his friends don't matter, we won't know what he wants until something happens. |

I guess we will see. Seven days and counting. What really hurts the point that he just wants a new deal and more money is he genuinely hates Redskins upper management, he has a ton of money and he seems to care about his future health. Add that he is telling his close friends he will never put on the burgundy and gold, this does not look very good. |
Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
I believe the Texans will attempt to get Trent.. first rounder and I would let Trent go.. he ain’t playing for us ..

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Just read into how the cap implications work. When a player has been placed on the Reserve Did Not Report list, his salary does not count against your salary cap (after all he won’t be paid until he reports). And of course the player does not count against your 53 man roster.
So that explains why Albert Breer’s list shows the Skins have $21M in cap space. Trent is considered on the Reserve Did Not Report list. If/when he reports, he will immediately begin counting against our cap and take our cap space back to the $10M or so shown by both Overthecap and Spotrac. |

I'm getting ready to move on, I lean towards him having a grievance towards the FO/medical staff more than contract dissatisfaction. If that's the case see ya. |
Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Miami just got 2 1's for Tunsil... Now u see why Trent hasn't been moved

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
If the skins were offered anything in the ballpark of what the texans/dolphins deal was some heads need to roll for not trading TW. We are not a super bowl contender this year so lets get some picks and replace him with a number 1 pick next year. Not to mention other picks as well. Its a shame if they screw this up like cousins.

We are the worst run franchise period. I’m fuckin livid. I’m sure Texans would have giving up a 1st round pick and more. I can’t believe how fuckin retarded this piece of shit Bruce Allen is. I hate this mutherfucker |
