I agree that Washington is superior to some of the 4-1 teams on paper, but the problem is Washington played far better football last season, and only managed to go 10-6. They even lost to the hapless Raiders and tried to give another one away to the Cardinals. There has not been one season since 1992, where Washington has beaten every team they should beat. They've already lost one of the games they should've won this year. So while they should be able to beat Tampa Bay, St. Louis, New Orleans, Atlanta, and the Giants and Cowboys at home, at least a couple of those games will result in a loss.
That's why they play the game

Someone didn't pay attention to my disclaimer. :nono:

And if half of my posts consisted of "I have Faith, HAIL Gibbs!!!" my post count would probably be a lot higher too. :tongue

Re: Stop The Negative

Why do we even talk about games we will probably lose? This team can not afford another lose! If you guys haven't noticed, our record is not looking very good right now, compared to other teams. If they want to go the playoffs, they need to win their division. The wild card looks to be out of the question.

Wildcard out of the question?...When did they reduce the # of games to ten?
If "THEY"........"THEY" need to win...srry... I never refer to skins as they, only we. Maybe you will say we or us when we are 6-4 and sunny skies?..ughhh
Less talent? I don't know.

They have the better quarterback, adequate receivers, a good enough line, and they have a tremendous lineup on defense.

I'd say on paper, the Skins and Eagles are about even. On the field though ...
It stops at the QB plain and simple. The Eagles have a far superior QB to us, even though he chokes in big games. O-lines are about the same, our receivers and RB are better. Yet, their offense is as smooth as it gets, and ours is erratic.

All very good points.....The QB is where the offense TRULY begins. Yes, running the ball is very much a part of Redskin football, but eventually you will have to throw and make big plays. This year, McNabb's status as a choke artist has been downgraded from Drew Bledsoe status to just above Kobe status....he is playing like the champion he knopws he can be. Now, if fucking MB would just realize that he could also be great and its ok to play like you know you can, then we'd be fine. I dont see a change in QB helping us though. Given, if Brunell gets hurt and JC plays, it will an entirely diff ball club, and I dont think it would be for the better to change in the middle of the season. Mark is our QB. Period. JC is the FUTURE.....look at Philip Rivers! He rode for 2, maybe 3 years and he ( in my opinion) is great. I think JC could turn out the same way, he just needs to age like a fine wine, thats all......

No need to rub it in her or anyone else's face. i gave her crap for being the really optimistic type, but I probably shouldn't have. There is nothing wrong with having a little faith in your team.

(Oh, BTW, Hess isn't a "Mr.")

If there were any positives, I would stop the negative!
I guess Nick the Kick was 2-2 in extra points. There, I found a positive.

Yep, we pretty much blew it today. Our D totally let us down and out O line was off again. Not much to say other than I'm sad, it sucks, and I feel terrible for Joe Gibbs..... :(
