Maybe not, but will the team bother bringing him back when we are totally out of the playoff chase? I don't see any point in that.

Gibbs needs to put Portis on IR ASAP and forget about this stupid loyalty BS he has with his starters. Gibbs stated last night that he “was worried about hurting Brunell's feelings by sitting him down”. When does Gibbs stop worrying about individuals feelings and start worrying about fielding a winning team this week.

Gibbs is a good coeach because he cares about his players, which in turn makes them want to win for themselves and for HIM. Caring about the players is what builds a solid team that doesn't give up....

We have a better chance now Brunell has been sat. If it had happened before the Cow-Whores game we'd be looking at a different team right now.
