I still don't get how Widmore even knows about the island. I mean Ben made it sound like Widmore knew that Locke crashed there, was in a wheelchair and is now walking.
Remember last week, Widmore bought the ledger from the Black Rock back in 1994(?). Apparently no one had read it before he bought it.

Also, I was thinking about your previous post re: Desmond smiling a bit in the past after Penny answered the phone in the future while I re-watched the last few minutes and you are 100% right.
Wouldn't it be crazy if it wasn't Michael, but instead it was Walt all grown up. Like he's suddenly their age
In the first episode this season Locke did say that he saw Walt but that he "was taller." Maybe Walt and Michael aged when they left the island because they didn't follow the correct course.

Wow, great call about the Black Rock ledger. Forgot all about that.

Desmond thought it was 1996 when Widmore bought the ledger at the auction, and gave Desmond the address of Penny's flat...

The painting of the Black Rock is hung in Widmore's office during one of Desmond's flashbacks during Season 2 I believe.

However, I skipped over what you guys have said about last night's episode because I haven't seen it yet. Will watch over the weekend...

Hurely felt responsible, so he went off to live in one of the polar bear cages.
It was an odd episode.

That was because the reason they wrote them out was because Walt was going to grow and they simply couldn't get away from that. The comment from Locke was a nod to everyone who figured this was the reason. It was just a little joke they threw in. Supposedly.

What about the whole gas thing? I don't really know what to make of it. Why was it going to go off, and how did Ben know about it?

And poor Jack just wants to get laid. he has been playing this leader/doctor role for a long time with no payoff. I hope Juliet will help the doc out.

Not the best episode, but pretty good. Probably would have been better if I hadn't known Michael was the "man on the ship". His character sucks, so I'm not thrilled to see him back.

Did anyone notice the date on Jin's gravestone? It says "9/22/2004", the day of the crash. Nothing revolutionary - just interesting how thorough the writers are.

kinda sux that Jin dies, but it makes sense he would die to protect Sun and their child. Any bets on who takes a dirt nap next week?

The day of the crash. Very interesting. I was trying to catch the date but missed it.

I thought it was Sun that was going to die. I think maybe Lapidus dies next week
