Right, every single analyst on ESPN has the same exact opinion of Romo, thank you for paying attention.

And what exactly are you disagreeing with, because I essentially said if it's Skins vs. Cards it's not a big deal.

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

If we go out on Monday night and smack Romo and his Cowboys team around, I'm pretty sure at least a few people are going to be talking about how D-Hall set the tone. It's not like he's making a guarantee that we're gonna win or anything like that and he's not putting our defense in a tough positions because everyone knows were gonna get after Romo (or Kitna).

I know you're hung up on this theory that the league has a vested interest in the Cowboys success, but this isn't MLB where the league truly revolves around a few big market teams. Whether Romo plays or not, the league makes money, the league continues to generate ridiculous ratings, and life goes on.
You are correct and I will give you that, but I can't help but feel from my point of view we've had two weeks of no bs in the media, no dumb stories distracting our lockerroom, just guys going in puttin' in work and going out and playing great games, and now we see that one of the most turbulent Redskins is saying unnecessary things in the media about things we already know.

It's not the fact that he's gonna go out there and occasionally try to hit Romo in the ribs to knock him out, I just wish he was saying that to anybody but the media. Same with Orakpo too, but to a lesser extent. We don't need to go into the game with a bulls eye on our backs, which is what all this talking creates.

And also, our recent track record shows that we have a hard time walking the walk after we talk the talk. Now this team could be different, but all it does is put added pressure on us to perform and back it up.
Really? Didn't Hightower say something like he guaranteed a win over the Cards last week and that pissed them off.

Meh, pretty insignificant in the big picture. And certainly insignificant compared to the Haynesworth saga, or the drama with McNabb.

I was responding to the post saying "for the past two weeks no medis BS". Which was not totally true.

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

Hightower's comments probably distracted the Cardinals' lockerroom more than the Redskins' lockerroom. The same will probably be the case with Hall's comments.

Well, depends on what you define as media BS. I guess I don't see what the big deal is. If the Skins are truly distracted by these comments, we have big problems.

Valid point. Of course cause its D Hall it gets played out as a mistake. Im sure if D Hall guarenteed the win people be all over with hatt.

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

I love this. It's how a rivalry should be.

What I do not hear anyone talking abouyt in the media...what question did the reporter ask? My bet is that they SPECIFICALLY asked about hitting Romo in the ribs and baited this response...but of course, only the response is replayed, never the question.

Regardless, I fully support him. I want our players to be targeting our rival's QB, ESPECIALLY when he's vulnerable.

Jerry Jones (we all know it's his decision here) will be stupid to let Romo even play against Hall, Orakpo, Kerrigan, Fletcher and a returning LaRon Landry!

I almost hope we DO see Romo on Monday night. Of course, that will be the last anyone sees of him for a while after Monday. :)

I also think this again shows evidence that the media, especially ESPN, love to target the Redskins negatively every chance they get. How could I say this, just because they're covering the manufactured "story" with Hall? Well, look what they're NOT covering 24/7...Albert Haynesworth taking plays off in New England. When he was with us, they covered what he was having for breakfast. When he plays for the beloved Patriots...Albert who?

The local Boston media is doing their job on him at least.

This is something most defensive NFL players do, Hall just spoke up about it.

I agree with the above that JJ should keep Romo out...but he won't since he rarely makes smart long term decisions.

I'll agree with you but I understand what he's trying to say. If the Cowboys were on top of the NFCE we see all the Cowboy highlights and Romo is a god and the team is going to the SB. If the Cowboys are last in their division we see Cowboy highlights and how Romo is a god and how they "will" right the ship.

When the Redskins were last in the NFCE not a word and hardly mentioned unless there was something to show worth laughing at. Now that they are leading the NFCE, the Skins are fake and won't last. Grossman is not a QB. The media makes excuses for two teams we beat outright.

and it's still the Romo show. Our only media coverage is Hall talking about hitting their beloved Romo.

Namely because Hightowers comment lasted only a few days. The Haynesworth saga lasted 2 seasons and McNabb's drama lasted 1.
