My question is: We have heard many people say they didn't wanna give up 3 picks for RGIII, but how would they feel giving up 3-4 picks for Luck?
Giving up picks to draft any QB is just plain stupid.

It's not a sure thing the colts take luck I mean they say they will but things can change
Weeden.

I can't find it now but earlier today I read how Dallas owner J.Jones (I think) interviewed Weeden because they are looking to upgrade. Don't know what that says about Romo but JJ said he liked Weeden because Weeden is not young and immature, he has a strong arm, can make all the throws, and they are looking for a QB who can pick up the play calls quickly. JJ said they were impressed with how fast he picked up the Redskins play calls.

Then there is this....
Weeden making waves at Senior Bowl - Big 12 Blog - ESPN

I just think Weeden is building a report with our coaching staff and showing what he can do. On top fo that he will already somewhat know our basic system prior to the draft which means he won't have too much more to learn before the season. I believe there is specific rumors being spread to throw everyone off about what we will do in the draft and in the end the coaches will take Weeden because they will be impressed with him and he will already know the system. Plus we will have a full compliment of picks to build around him.
People tend to look at Weeden's age and say he's too old for a rookie. I tell you what. A 29 year old rookie has more overall maturity than a 23 year old rookie. What I like about Weeden is that he has a great athletic background. He knows how to play quarterback. Although slightly younger than Rex Grossman and John Beck, Weeden throws the ball better and probably reads defenses better. Plus, he's being coached a watered down version of the Redskins playbook by Kyle Shanahan. If the Redskins decided to keep their draft choices and fill out the roster instead of trading picks away in order to land RG3 or Andrew Luck, then Weeden would be the QB they'd end up selecting in the 2nd or 3rd round of the draft.

Weeden could probably start from day 1. The ultimate question to ask: Is Weeden an upgrade over Beck and Grossman and if so, how much of an upgrade?

Were the Giants stupid for what they gave up for Eli?

I concur. Sometimes giving up picks to fulfill your most pressing need is the right thing to do.

Was just listening to Mike & Mike on the radio, Stink thinks Manning will be the QB for the Skins in 2012. Don't know how I feel about this.

We're not getting Luck, so stop talking about him!
I agree with you 100%, but.... if RGIII keeps getting all the attention I can see the Colts taking him.

Now, do we have a chance for either Luck or RGIII. Personally.... I think no. The Skins are not the only team who could stand to get a "FRANCHISE" QB. Is Bradford a franchise QB or just a really good QB? I could see the Rams taking RGIII and trading or keeping Bradford. Same with the Vikes. Who knows what the new Tampa coach will want to do and if he even likes his current QB. I think they make a play on Flynn though. The Browns definitly need a "FRANCHISE" QB.

I think in the end we stay pat or trade back for more picks and take Weeden.

Some people on this board are talking about Luck like theres more than a 1% chance we can get him, there, at the most is a 1% chance we could get him, but really, Indy needs a franchise QB, He is more of a sure thing than Griffin, If I'm the Colts, I'm taking Luck.

There is? I'm thinking it's more like .0001% chance.

They have pieces on the offense minus a QB. They draft Luck and dedicate rest of the draft for Defense. Mix defense and offense again in next years and following years draft and they are back in business.

Well, remember Gonzalez, Wayne, Garcon, Saturday, and Diem are all free agents and other than Gonzalez all are rumored to be gone

It wasn't just the QB that caused that team to go 2-14. Orlovsky doesn't tackle, rush the passer, block, run the football, etc. They have significant issues...issues that Manning largely covered up by allowing them to play with a lead and out scheming defenses at the line of scrimmage.

Anyone expecting Luck to step in and pick up right where Manning left off has somewhat urealistic expectations for the kid. Even Manning threw an exorbitant amount of picks as a rookie.
