Sounds like fun. At the end of the season the winner can pick a charity for the looser to donate the winnings. |

I look forward to watching Matty vs. firstdown. Fan's head vs. fan's heart. Epic.

Ought to get it's own sticky thread, OP updated weekly and the running saga of the heart v head situation. FD make sure you choose a good charity for Matty's 90 dollars (105 if the playoffs/superbowl are included):D |
Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
they're not dropping 40+ on us.
I can easily see it happening. They have a pretty good line, so our front isn't going to be putting pressure on Brees every second of the game. Meaning that secondary is getting carved up. BOOM. |
Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
they're not dropping 40+ on us.
IMO their line is not as good as last year. Also it will be their first game with new coaching, etc. Therefore I agree that I don't see them dropping 40+ on us. |
Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
first quarter rg3 finds the going tough. saints lead 14-0, then rg3 gets injured in 2nd quarter, cousins comes in and throws an interception after getting sacked twice. and then grossman comes in and leads the skins to a 27-24 victory.

That would be an extremely insane scenario of events. But Cousins is 3rd string, and he would be subbing for Grossman, not the other way around. |
Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
Does the saints best WR play on sunday? Right now its not looking great for Marques Colston, but he does have 3 days to get healthy.

What the hell is this trend with predicting an injury for our expensive ass starting quarterback in his first season, let alone first game? TAKE THAT SHIT TO THE COWBOYS BOARD PLEASE. |

Somebody from NFL.com wrote this disrespectful article so I'm posting the link here. I hope the entire Redskins team from the coaches to the players are have gotten the opportunity to read this garbage. I hope the Redskins smash the Saints!!!! |
Re: Skins vs Saints predictions
Ive seen something similar to that article on the ticker while playing madden 13 on ps3. Some reporter or "insider" says that the saints are going to dominate the skins, and their trumped up defense is going to make RG3 completely miserable in his first outing.
Im sure the same was said about Newton last year. Its about time for us to prove the critics wrong. I am looking for a legitimate statement win this weekend. And btw, whoever said the saints are dropping a 40+ spot on us are smoking some good shiza. Not gonna happen. |

Somebody from NFL.com wrote this disrespectful article so I'm posting the link here. I hope the entire Redskins team from the coaches to the players are have gotten the opportunity to read this garbage. I hope the Redskins smash the Saints!!!!
WTF?
No team in the NFL needs the season to start as much as the Saints. They are hot. They are angry. Every single player, every single resident of the state believes they were wronged by Roger Goodell and the NFL with the "Bountygate" suspensions. Sean Payton won't coach a game this year and can't communicate with the team. Goodell successfully ended bounties forever in the NFL with the penalty. The Saints don't see it that way. Heck, there was a "Free Sean Payton" banner flying over MetLife Stadium for the NFL Kickoff game on Wednesday night.
1. The Skins don't need the season to start to prove the RG3 naysayers wrong. 2. The Skins are not angry? I guess Roger Goodell didn't take away $36 mill in CAP space from the Skins. 3. Payton may not be coaching the team, but deep down I get the feeling there is some form of communication that we don't know about is happening. 4. The writer might feel that the NFL thinks they have solved the problem and that the Saints might not see it that way and might want to in act revenge but.... I can't think of any other team who will be under more scrutiny with their play then the Saints. I'm sure Goodell will be keeping an eye on any injured players that come from playing them.
Jon Vilma won't play a down on Sunday -- or, at this point, the rest of the season. General manager Mickey Loomis won't be found near the game, serving an eight-game suspension. Joe Vitt is the interim coach, but he's beginning a six-game suspension of his own. So, enter Aaron Kromer as the interim to the interim. The built-up anger will give this game a playoff feel. The Saints need to hit someone. RG could easily stand for Roger Goodell as the Saints see it.
All the other stuff in the paragraph was fluff, the fact that they are bringing in an interim to the interim screams of Rookie HC not being totally prepared to take on a team that beat the SB Giants twice last year.
By the way, New Orleans is good and vastly superior to the Redskins.
I don't see the vastly superior part. Weren't we winning the game against them until they had a stroke of luck and won the game?
I don't want to pooh-pooh the importance of Payton, a great play caller who seemingly shares a brain and a feel for the game with Brees. Payton will be missed. But Brees is a star. He will be out to prove he can still dominate sans Payton.
What we don't know is how much say Brees had in the play calling before. If he never partook in deciding what play should be next Brees might just flub this up.
Pete Carmichael Jr. will call the plays this year. You can bet he will do his best Payton impression and be super aggressive,
This X10. I'm banking on the guy being too aggressive and mistakes will be made. Clearly the writer is just a tiny bit biased and is a Saints fan. To bad NFL.com couldn't pick a better writer or one less biased. |
Who are the RG3 naysayers?
