MVP not named RGIII = Meriweather

He set the tone for the D. He was hitting hard, covering well, creating turnovers. It was like a completely different defense with him in there because he immediately fixed the defense's weakest position.

Thankfully his knee injury was very minor. It's reported that he could have returned to the game but they held him out to be ready for Dallas on short rest. Smart move.
For a minute I thought #21 was out there the way he was drilling guys. I'm not sure why he's been cut from two teams but he really played well yesterday.
<sigh> It was a joke. If we can't laugh at the bad crap when we are winning, when can we?

Okay ... how's this: We won by 20+ points against a crappy team with a rookie QB that is imploding so it is indicative of nothing and, b/c of the poor play calling/execution on short yardage and the penalties, just highlighted our inability to compete against top flight NFL teams. We are still a bad team and are deluding ourselves on thinking anything else. Some of that blame has to fall on the Shanny's.

Maybe more accurate but not nearly as much fun.
I was actually thrilled with how the entire team rallied around Mike. Maybe that whole "evaluation" comment sparked a fire under their asses after all. Also, just for the record I never had a problem with that presser - thought the whole thing was taken out of context.
Sorry if my remark was over the top. It was my first post of the day and those voices were hungry. :)

Gosh seemed like it to me. Personally I think it's real chicken sh!t to respond, with sarcasm to boot, to a post w/o quoting it if you disagree with something or wanna make a counter point. Seems to be habitual among folks.

Sigh, I knew it was going to pop up at some point today.

Are you serious?
I would like to change my original response to Joe Redskins comment to "did u really have to go there today".
Fair enough. I almost didn't post it, but after putting up with two weeks of anti-shanny rants, I admit I gave in to my darkside. The penalties issue was a legit question and one that we all probably have in the back of our minds.

At the same time, we beat the F'ing Eagles by a ton and, b/c of that, nothing will change the utter joy, albeit transitory, in my heart. HTTR.

(I like you Punch, really. One thing you should know about me though - if my post is less than a couple paragraphs long, I probably didn't think about it much ;) )

lol - it's all good man. It probably was unneccessary on my part - but like I said, if we can't laugh now, when?

I have a cure for the voices - pie. It really works, do you have a favorite?

I knew you would get what I was saying - knew also you couldnt resist. I hadnt had my coffee yet and I have relatives staying with me that are about on my last nerve. The Shanny stuff put me over the top! Lol. HTTR. Great day. Cant wait for Dallas! Coupled with a Packers loss on Sunday and oh boy.

Goat, where you been? You seem unhappy, yesterday a tough day for your Shanahan tirades? Or did you miss the game?

And you don't want to use the word habitual, it will come back to haunt you...

When the score was 24-6, I made the comment to my wife that "this is not over. It's the Redskins."

At 31-6, I started to feel good about the game. :D

I was watching with not one - not two - but three eagles fans. At 24-6 i was the one pacing. They were like dude whats wrong? I just said - guys ive seen this movie before and I really dont like the ending. With about 9 minutes left i realized that the Eagles were playing so freaking bad that even if we didnt get that illusive blowout win that we were going to get a win and relaxed alittle.
The second Dallas game in 2005 was a 25+ point victory (and one of my favorite all-time Redskins wins). But that might be it in the last ten years. We've no doubt been on the receiving end of divisional blowouts during that span, so it is indeed nice to give a little.
I was going through the history of their divisional games and when I got to that one I couldn't believe it. What a game that was!

Haven't had much peace since Friday. Trying to close a huge deal tomorrow for new clients and yeah it makes me piss and vinegar. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon I'm relaxing.
