In fact, the reason Joe looked so good was because his WRs were simplying beasting. That 4th and inches catch by Boldin was incredible. Boldin and the other Ravens WRs pretty much carried Flacco to that Super Bowl.
Completely agree. Ive always felt Flaco is good QB, and until recently have felt he was underrated, but the dudes not as good as how much he got paid. I dont know if hes smart or dumb for not tkaing less in order to keep Boldin around. |

But allowing a player with a well documented medical history of severe and dangerous headaches, who by the course of his employment exposes himself to regular head injuries, to use weed for medical reasons in a state where marijuana is legal could be the first step in the inevitability of gradualness the NFL is likely looking for to keep this thing from turning into a very public legal battle as more and more states legalize the weed. Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
I honestly think San Fran got the better player (and value) today over Seattle.

Might agree, Harvin & Tate kind of the same player IMO. |

I don't like it. To me guys like Harvin are great when you have a QB that can't throw to save his life and you need to rely on gadget plays to give your running game some room, but when you have a guy like Wilson that can throw in a more traditional, less gimicky offense, then those gadget players can become a distraction because the temptation to call a play just to get someone involved has the potential to disrupt the rhythm and organic development of an offense. On top of that top flight kick returners frequently are at risk to fall off the face of the Earth. Now with that said if Harvin can develop into a more traditional receiving option, get better at running routes, especially now that he has a QB that can get him the ball downfield, and combine that with his amazing athletic ability then he will be a steal but for now I'm very skeptical that this will work. |
Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
Boldin is the toughest wideout in the game- He played with a wired jaw the week after it was broken. Oh and he refused to take painkillers during recovery.

Certainly the better value. A 6th rounder for a solid, occasionally beast like, WR OR a first rounder (and more) for a headcase, fragile playmaker. Seriously, for a 6th rounder, anything they get from Boldin will be gravy. Given what I have seen as the price for Harvin, he has to be a consistent playmaker to be worth what was given. |
Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
Percy Harvin will be in a Seattle Seahawks uniform. The Seahawks are about to be a tiny bit better than what they already were.

Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
Speaking of ravens and 49ers
It looks like Ed Reed could be headed to San Fran according to PFT |

Talib remains a possibility for us, according to USA Today

Holy hell, not only did Seattle give up their 1st rounder, but they also gave up 2 more picks. WTF??
The deal reportedly involves at least Seattle's 2013 first-round pick, No. 25 overall, Seattle's seventh-round pick in as well as a mid-round pick in 2014
This has Roy Williams 2.0 written all over it. A good read about the Harvin/Minnesota situation. IMO Minnesota wins that trade. |
