Uhhhh....wut?

“He can be just as good as Peyton,” Garcon said on NFL AM. “Peyton’s very skilled with his arm, Robert is skilled with his arm and his legs, so that’s what makes him more dynamic and more dangerous.”

Garcon said he sees a lot of the same traits between Manning and Griffin in the way they lead their teams.

“They are very similar,” Garcon said. “Quarterbacks are natural leaders, they take control of the huddle, their meetings, their teammates around them, communicate with all the players, from offensive linemen to receivers and running backs. They’re similar to each other. Robert’s going to be very good, and just as good as Peyton.”

I don't Sonny. If he had stayed in the pocket last year, we would have won 7 games tops.

That's the impact his running skills have. He single-leggedly won some games...scoring, extending plays, running for crucial first downs.

Later in his career, sure...but we don't need to waste his talents when he's young. If we don't want to use him, we should not have drafted him. Unleash the beast. He'll get smarter and learn to protect himself with experience. He's not used to anyone catching up to him yet. In college...no one could catch him. In the NFL, few can, but some do get lucky.

twitter had a field day with so many fans buying things for Griffin's wedding registry. Crazy how much he has taken this area by storm.

MT @RGIII: I didn't ask fans to buy me anything. They found [the registry] ... & decided to get what they could. SMH at all these Debbie downers[/QUOTE]

I was following the twitter war as well. Geez...it's not like RGIII asked his fans to buy stuff off the registry for him. They did it because they love the guy. I understand the thought that he doesn't need people he doesn't know buying him stuff (probably doesn't even need people he does know buying him stuff) but he can't control what fans do. Maybe his intentions are to donate those gifts to charity and I'm sure he plans on doing so. Even if he keeps those gifts, his giving back to his fans by making the Washington Redskins, hopefully, a consistent playoff and eventual Super Bowl champion, so I couldn't ask for a better payback than that! (Of course I didn't buy anything off his registry, lol!)

Heck lets but together a few bucks for a little something, heck two nationally televised cowboy a$$ kickins should be worth a punch bowl, candle holders or something.

Re: Off Season Griffin Man Crush thread

Its a 2 sided argument.

On one end, I'm like why didn't RG3 send out a private wedding registry list that only people invited to his wedding could have gotten him? He is--to my knowledge-- the only athlete whose wedding registry was found online where fans have bought him gifts.

On the other end I'm like why did fans who aren't going to his wedding buying all the gifts that people who were invited to the wedding, were supposed to be getting him? You're not going, and you've probably never met RG3 before in your lives, and your going to buy him a gift? I know a counter point to what I'm saying is that "its the fans buying him a gift thanking him for being our QB" well you could also buy a gatorade, adidas socks, RG3 jersey, or many other products to show your thanks to him (that money goes back to him) Another counter argument I've heard is that these people who were buying him gifts are rich to begin with and probably already give to charity. The thing is you, nor I truly know that.

In summary, I'm annoyed that the fans went out to buy him all these gifts to a wedding they're not going to. If I'm someone who got invited to attend the wedding, I'd be pissed, because its like "Now what do I get this millionaire?".

You know its the off-season when a wedding registry is big controversial news.
