I understand completely, my point is there are plenty of definite impact players like Jamarcus Russell.... if SM uses the #5 pick he better be right - he will probably be offered 3 or 4 high picks for it
If you understood my point why are you still talking about it? I'm for trading back, but I'm not for leaving superstars on the board for the sake of trading back. That was my point.
I can't believe you're putting Baby Jesus and Winston in the same sentence. What you're forgetting to mention is Winston actually throws w/ great anticipation. He makes all of the throws with ease. You can't teach the talent he has. He's a passer first and not a thrower.
It's going to come down to whether or not he can grow the F up and act like a pro. I'd have no problem taking him, sitting him for a year and let him learn the ropes.
Some young college kids are immature. Winston is ASININE. I hope we don't draft him. He may have all the talent in the world, but someone who acts like a jabrony all the time and gets coddled by FSU does not sit well with me. What sane, rational DI starting quarterback has ever stolen crab legs and stood on a table and screamed profanities at a student council meeting?!? Dude is a couple burritos short of a taco stand if you ask me. |
The Redskins need 4 DBs, 4 OL, 2 DL, 2 LBs, and more - good draft picks will start
This guy is a local and a Skins fan where (round ) would you draft him ? WalterFootball.com: 2015 NFL Draft: Cornerback Rankings Ronald Darby*, CB, Florida State Height: 5-11. Weight: 195. Projected 40 Time: 4.45. Projected Round (2015): 1-3. 12/15/14: Darby has 37 tackles with four passes broken up this year and has been a solid contributor on special teams as well. He played well against Oklahoma State in the season opener, but had a mixed outing against Clemson. Darby has been a reliable cover corner for the Seminoles. He has good speed and athleticism to run with receivers to prevent separation. Darby also is put together well so receivers can't push him around. His receivers rarely ever get open. 8/27/14: Darby impressed in 2012 with eight passes broken up, 22 tackles and a forced fumble. He had four passes broken up and two interceptions in 2013, but only 14 tackles. With Lamarcus Joyner in the NFL, Darby could take over nickel corner duties for the Seminoles. He has some natural cover-corner skills. Darby had a part in the Jameis Winston rape investigation. Winston wasn't charged, but Darby was said to be a witness. Darby could have been punished for underage drinking and recording someone without their consent, but the school decided not to punish any of the three players involved. |

Wrap up of the senior bowl practices and prospect analysis.
Norfolk State OLB Lynden Trail — Built like a Range Rover, the 6-foot-6, 260-pound Trail overcame poor practice habits at Florida, where coaches Will Muschamp and Dan Quinn called him out, and moved to Norfolk, where he dominated. On Wednesday, he was agile in staying step for step covering tight ends, and on Thursday he had a huge day: Not only did he make a terrific interception in the red zone, showing some Julius Peppers-esque ball skills, but Trail also lined up at tight end (where he played some in college) and looked natural catching the ball. Trail is confident and supremely athletic, and he might not make it out of Day 2. He said he feels his best position is at outside 'backer, moving in space and running free to make plays all over the field. |

It's obvious that if there's a "superstar" on the board you don't trade back. But you hardly ever know. No one knew about Watt or everyone would've been trying to trade up to #1 or #2. |

Yeah I'm starting to like this guy, would be a nice pickup in the later rounds. |

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
Our two huge problems. We undersized and lack talent in the trenches. On the offensive side of the ball, teams had a lot of success against our offensive line, specifically, the interior. It common to see DL hitting Morris five yards deep in the back field. I'm sure we all can agree, that without RG3 out there, our running game was non existent. Teams did a good job of applying pressure on our qbs. I'm not going to put all the sacks on the OL. However, teams were able to apply pressure from the edges and straight up the middle.
Our receivers are way to small to run the WCO. We have tons of speed with no size. This puts pressure on our qbs to make perfect throws. We can't create any mismatches. Teams with good safeties and big corners will always give us problems. In the redzone where size is far more value than speed we're seriously lacking. On the defensive side of the ball I don't really know were to start. Our DL consistently gets pushed around. There is not one difference maker. Our pass rusher is mediocre at best. A lot of people give our corners a lot of flack, but to be honest, they could never be as bad as our safeties. Both Ryan Clark and Brandon Merriweather need to retire. How do we get on the right track? The first thing we have to do is address our defensive front seven. We have to draft OLB, NT, DE, of ILB. Find the best player at one of these positions. I would prefer an OLB or NT. With the fifth pick in the draft we'll have a lot of leverage. Not only can we address one of these position, but we can even trade back and still get an impact player. On the offensive side of the ball we have to address that interior line. There are some very talented centers and guards in this draft that will be available in the second round. It's going to be a long process. We're not going to be a great team overnight. However, I believe this where it starts. Tomorrow I'm going to give you guys a list of players I like rounds 1-4. |

So basically no Oline, No QB, No Defensive line, No real depth at Linebacker, Corners aren't terrible but not good, and safeties god awful. I think the better question should be what the Skins actually have. |
