He's either asking Coughlin if he wants a T or he's signaling the WRs, in which case they need to come up with a better signal. Ref did it right. |
Re: Around the Nfl week 5

Re: Around the Nfl week 5

A fight in Lot 10 after Pats - Cowboys gm @ATTStadium. Victim shot in the head. Serious condition. Not fatal https://twitter.com/clarencehilljr/status/653401861622362112 @clarencehilljr Per eye witness, suspect was egged on by a crowd of people to kill the victim. #shooting #attstadium https://twitter.com/clarencehilljr/status/653405109712351232 What the fuck is wrong with people? Egging the guy on to kill him? Are you kidding me? |
Re: Around the Nfl week 5
The L. Donnell catch in NY to end the game... Does it seem to anyone else that that ball moved around quite a bit? When he actually had control his back was out of bounds.
Not sour grapes, but wondering why nobody is talking about that? |

No ,not even close but I bet they change the signal. |
Re: Around the Nfl week 5
A question, maybe worth it's own thread, but probably not.
While I do love watching the Cowboyszone go into meltdown mode over the last 3 weeks, one of the issues they are crying about has me curious about the rules. In the following play, Can't-Miss Play: Brady finds Edelman for 59-yard TD - NFL Videos New England lines Edelman up on the inside, and another receiver in the slot. Edelman takes off at a diagonal to the sideline, and the slot runs straight. Since it's man to man the CB covering Edelman is effectively blocked or picked. Cowboys fans say it is a blatant foul. I'm sure NE fans would smirk and say maybe. Is it a pick by NFL definition? The funny thing about the complaining is that it ignores the fact during the run after the catch no less than 6 Cowboys had good shots at him, and just missed him. But again, is it a pick? Thanks |
Re: Around the Nfl week 5
Here is the rule as it is written.
Article 2 Prohibited Acts by both teams while the ball is in the air. Acts that are pass interference include but are not limited to: (a) Contact by a player who is not playing the ball that restricts the opponent’s opportunity to make the catch. (b) Playing through the back of an opponent in an attempt to make a play on the ball. (c) Grabbing an opponent’s arm(s) in such a manner that restricts his opportunity to catch a pass. (d) Extending an arm across the body of an opponent, thus restricting his ability to catch a pass, and regardless of whether the player committing such act is playing the ball. (e) Cutting off the path of an opponent by making contact with him, without playing the ball. (f) Hooking an opponent in an attempt to get to the ball in such a manner that it causes the opponent’s body to turn prior to the ball arriving. (g) Initiating contact with an opponent by shoving or pushing off, thus creating a separation in an attempt to catch a pass.
on the Edelman play, I am not sure the ball is even in the air when the slot guy gains his position, so it seems like the defender has to go around him. The fact that the defenders get tangled up with him seems more like poor coverage angles, but again, I don't know the rule and application so I'm hoping someone might have better explanations. |
