Yeah, the snowflake thing drives me a little crazy too. Just like mooby said, they exist on both sides, but right now social media is, "I don't agree with you, so therefore SNOWFLAKE! SNOWFLAKE! SNOWFLAKE!". It basically stops ALL discussion in any forum these days.

I didn't see the Emmys, but I had to give the guy credit for cracking some fun at himself.
meh the snowflake thing has been around for awhile...too me it was never about a side but the over sensitive of millennial cultural and the quick condemnation from behind a keyboard. Now the ante has been up-ed to "go viral." its extremely masturbatory for that generation. Sure the progressive left is where most identify.

So I like Deadspin...but everyone knows most that read and post are socialist/communist, which is perfectively fine. But I find daily example of snowflake post...whether its celebrating the Dallas Police shooter, or something along this train of thought:

deadspin-quote-carrot-aligned-w-bgr-2<\/title><\/svg>')}.f_branding_on.blog-group-deadspin .editor-inner.post-content .pu
Nobody Went To Watch The 49ers Again

First, hilarious pictures and article.

But then go down to the first comment by a typical snowflake with a typical snowflake overly sensitive comment based on just one picture in the article:

"Can we talk about the absurdity of unfurling a field-sized flag for a fucking regular-season game? Christ, the NFL has the most toxic brand of patriotism."

this is not trolling, this is a common thought within a common line of ideology

Why go to a web site you know is going to piss you off? They are not a news site ,it's opinion of posters you know you already dislike,I don't get it?

To both of your points, the comments section of ANYTHING online is the worst of humanity. My wife was watching cute animal videos and I told her, "Check out the comments section for shits and giggles." People are awful there too. I actually challenge someone to find a video or article with 50+ comments that are all positive. I bet it doesn't exist like the unicorn or the albino leprechaun.

My favorites to read are the CNN comments. Obviously Trump supporters HATE CNN, but they make up 90% of the posts. Most of them are the snowflake emoji.

Like I said, I like Deadspin articles when it comes to sports...they are funny.

Giantone, Ill never feed into the "choose sides" environment we are in now. Im not about that life where of one side is right and one side is wrong. Too many people following their bubble and afraid to think on their own.

In regards to that comment...its bullshit and it was top on the article bc people "liked" it to the top, so they agree.

[spoken with dripping irony] Trump may be the GREATEST unifier this country has EVER had. He managed to unify the NFL and the NFLPA.

We both agree on this. Besides how often do you see the Cavaliers and the Warriors agree on anything? Great job by the President bringing our country together.

Another win for God's Law in the state of Alabama lol. My first, non-educated opinion was that anybody opposing a Trump backed candidate was a good thing. Then I see what this guy is all about:
A former state judge who believes that “God’s law” can invalidate federal court decisions won Alabama’s Republican primary for U.S. Senate on Tuesday night, sending a clear warning to President Trump and GOP leadership that conservative grass-roots anger will continue to roil the party into the 2018 midterm elections.

Roy Moore, who was twice suspended from his job as the chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, defeated incumbent Sen. Luther Strange, who was appointed to the seat vacated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions and was backed by Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

...

“We have to return the knowledge of God and the Constitution of the United States to the United States Congress,” Moore said in his victory speech. “We have become a nation that has distanced ourselves from the very foundation.”

...

But in significant ways, his campaign differed from any other Senate effort in recent memory. On the stump, Moore made his belief in the supremacy of a Christian God over the Constitution the central rallying point of his campaign. His support for stronger immigration laws, less federal spending and a stronger military were all secondary issues.

...

As a judge, Moore refused to obey a federal court order to remove from his courthouse a monument to the Ten Commandments he had installed to underscore his belief. He was removed from his job as a result.

In a 2002 legal opinion, he described homosexual conduct as “an inherent evil,” and he has argued that the 2015 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage should not be considered the rule of law. He was suspended from Alabama’s court a second time for defying the higher court’s marriage decision, and he later decided to retire from the bench.

If elected to the Senate, Moore has promised to be a disruptive force who will directly challenge the leadership of McConnell. Moore plans to crusade against the Senate practice of requiring 60 votes to move most legislation on the Senate floor, which he does not consider constitutional. He has also said he will seek the impeachment of federal judges who defy his view of the Constitution. He has called for military deployment to secure the southern border before the construction of a border wall, and he said he would have opposed the Cassidy-Graham legislation, the most recent effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act, because it was not conservative enough.

Moore, who owns several motorized vehicles, decided to ride a horse named Sundance from his property in Gallant, Ala., to the local firehouse to vote Tuesday, taking time to trot back and forth before a group of reporters.
The Bible Belt strikes again. The man thinks Cassidy-Graham isn't conservative enough. And he also wants to shrink the federal budget while boosting the military's budget. And I know this is petty but who goes to vote on a horse and takes the time to show off in front of a group of reporters. The people of Alabama deserve what they get if this clown gets elected.

Sweet. Looks like he wants to be a dictator too.

Hate this stuff because it shows how truly stupid some people are.

lets not take rhetoric and his unusual positions and somehow equate this a some new norm.

This is typical media shit only looking to get some faux outrage from the left. Lets not feed into this type stuff. Folks within his own party strongly disagree with much of this crap.

well its Alabama...I don't think positions based on strong religious ideals and anti-homosexual position are necessarily unheard of from that area.
