Getting rid of a cancer is always a good thing

Think about it, if you get released by the Redskins you’re probably doing something seriously wrong lol

The cancer is our front office and coaching staff. NOT DJ.

DJ is NOT the problem with this team.

DJ said it wouldn't happen if he was the coach.
How was he a cancer? Can you please explain? This team was pure garbage before he got here. They will continue to be garbage now that he's gone. He called out our shitty ass DC who deserved to be fired. For the record, I've seen some players leave this organization and have success else where. I have also seen ex players and coaches come back to DC and kick our ass. In fact it is pretty common.
How many teams has he been on?

Re: D.J. Swearinger released

I approve of this move for 2 reasons.

A. You can't let a player shit on you multiple times over a season, publicly and then go out there and have average play himself. For the last 5-6 weeks he's played the "Its not my fault" game. That is bush league.

B. His deal was up in 2020, and I doubt the skins would pay him what he was going to ask for.

Re: D.J. Swearinger released
I don't play professional football. Now answer my question. How is getting rid of arguably our best secondary player going to fix this football team? Did our team all of a sudden become better now that DJ Swearinger is gone? We just got rid of a good player but kept a bum HC and his bum ass DC. I'm done with this damn team.
This season is over but the key word in your question is TEAM. As others have said you dont want players who consistently berate and spark divisiveness in the locker room. We probably became a better football TEAM with a need for a new safety

I play music for a living and I’ve been in bands that had that one guy who is always bitching and moaning about something... that guy usually has been in a lot of bands and it never works out even though he is a good player.. bottom line it ain’t worth the hassle .. Nobody on this team has played harder the AP and you never heard him complain! Keep the stuff in house.. DJ will get another job and mark my words this will happen agian !

Brian Mitchell said it earlier in the year. DJ was right.
Complete non answer and cop out.

Gronk on the field at the end of the Miami game was a stupid as it gets and cost them a win.

How many players griped to the media.

This is a very good example DY. I bet the player Gronk replaced was pissed about not being on the field. If ever there was a reason to air something to the media that was it. Pats have a culture and Hoody would never tolerate it once. He benched Welker for making fun of Rex Ryan's foot fetish videos.

Nobody doubts what he said really, but that he felt the need to tell the world. It is bad for the “team” when you gripe to the world.

Re: D.J. Swearinger released

It is a job. At your job you might have a problem with a superior. He might be a shitty ass boss, and there are avenues you take to let someone know that. Social media outlets and the general public are not those avenues. If you did that you would be fired. So was he. End of story.
I don’t know how the rest of the team feels but I saw on Twitter Adrian Peterson tweeting @Swearinger that he was still shaking his head in disbelief,It was an honor playing with him, I will always appreciate the authenticity of Who you are as a competitor, that’s what makes you the warrior you are! I would take you on my team any day!
And apparently other teammates according to this article quite a few were taken to Twitter to show their support for Swearinger including Trent Williams and Quinton Dunbar

He was canned because he was told to keep it in house 2 times before... You can't do that crap.
