That strip sack when we were in the RZ early in the game. Scherff gets beat quickly .. I have not seen anything on his injury yet. |
Re: Cards postgame
Regarding Turner, not even sure what his plan was or is at this point. But if your line suck and your Qb isn't that good then perhaps it's hard to judge him.
Makes sense that he's better on the quick stuff, essentially one read throws.
also, when he has a little time he tries to throw longer passes . . . which end up nowhere near their intended target. |
I'm ready . . . he is not an NFL caliber QB IMO. He even missed his layups and is worse when you give him time to throw . . . Its time! Only reason to keep him in is to ensure a higher draft pick.
9 career starts and you're done eh |
Re: Cards postgame
I say let him get to 20 career starts and then judge him. If he's bad by week 13 or so then just put Allen in and see what he can do over the final month

It was his 9th career start. Nine. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 , 6, 7, 8 ... NINE. |
Re: Cards postgame
Final thought on DH
Haskins' average time to throw is 2.15 seconds. Last in the NFL. He is under pressure on 35.1% of his dropbacks, 3rd most. The receiving core isn't helping out either. Terry seems to be the only receiver getting open and the TE group is arguably the worst in the NFL. |

yes i am . . . sometimes you can tell a turd is a turd pretty quickly |
Re: Cards postgame
We played bad yesterday but what pissed me off the most is when our coach quit with time left on the clock. Sure the chances of us scoring two TD's is slim but there is always a fluke chance. If the coach gives up how can he expect the player not to give up. He set a poor standard and you could even see the players looking to the sideline wondering what the hell.

RR on Haskins "He has to get in rhythm early on, he can't miss the easy throws"
"It's on all of us to get going" |

I could give you numbers on plenty of QBs who didn't play great in their first 9 starts that ended up being stars, but obviously you have your mind made up. Not saying DH is going to be a star, but I'd give him a full season. |
Re: Cards postgame
2 moves I would make this week:
Move Apke out the line up. He doesn’t not have the instincts for the safety position and with such a strong unit he is too much of a liability. At the minimum he must keep guys in front of him, he can’t do that. He is a special teamer, not a starter. Insert Charles if he looks healthy and ready at Tackle. Now with Schreff down, I don’t we have any other other but to play Wes Martin |

Josh Rosen looked far better in his first 9 games behind at least as bad of an offensive line and the Cards canned his ass (while the skins fans wanted to bring him in) . . . Haskins has looked worse (in these last two games) than any QB i ever remember . . . ever! |
