The current location was terrible and the stadium was a shithole and the worst game day experience I ever had as a fan…that includes trips to the Meadowlands.

It can only get better. Dumfries was too far, Woodbridge will be better. I’m optimistic
When was the last time you were in Woodbridge VA.? RT 1 is a nightmare on a good day this just makes no sense. Who will pay for the infrastructure into the stadium(VA ?)? By the time it all starts it's going to be in the 100 of millions
Did it say the stadium will hold 60'000, maybe just me but isn't that kinda small?
The shift to Prince Dubs makes some sense. The Commanders are drawing less and less from the DM(V) and more from Virginia. A shift closer to Richmond accommodates more of the season ticket holders.

Aesthetically it is hot trash and goes against the rationale of building a stadium with a scenic city background and reaching a younger more metropolitan audience which is what I would prefer.
Northern Va is a suburban shithole…would it matter if the back drop was Loudon, Fairfax, etc? I mean the back drop now sucks.

No it wouldn't. I was referring to the shift of building stadiums back inside city limits. Heinz field, M&T etc versus suburban dumps like Fed ex, meadowlands, Foxboro

Why can't they just go back to DC?

DC politicians fucked that up big time. The folks who run that city are bullshit

There aren't many sites in DC that can handle a stadium and the most obvious site is the old RFK site but that's on Federal land that would require Congressional approval. With them investigating DS it seems unlikely they'd approve anything for this organization.

Change in ownership would make DC a possible. Especially, if the Amazon guy buys it.
Talking about the infrastructure and the people who call that place home , screw anyone who would buy super bowl tickets.
Interstate 95 is 3 lanes each way in that area with express lanes depending on time of day not the 8 lanes it is where it is now and even that with metro it's still a pain on game day. No Metro and what's the closest Airport to it? When they were talking Crystal City or Arlington it made sense even out by Dullas made sense but this location IMO just doesn't. Don't get me wrong the team deserves new digs but as far as location it makes no sense.
The problem is inside the Beltway it was never gonna make sense unless it was at RFK or built next to Fedex Field - the rest of the area is already developed. So if they wanted to start somewhere new and not be constrained by land available this was it. And I don't think RFK fits with their vision of building an amphitheater, practice facility, retail and residential around it.

Yeah Loudoun County has the advantage of having Metro access now but it's still a hike from DC too - and I'd bet good money by the time this stadium opens (let's remember it's not a done deal - I think Dan made this move to put pressure on MD to make a better offer) there will be more commute options than 95. They are expanding the rail lines and by 2027 VRE will be running weekends so you'll have the option to take Amtrak or VRE down to Woodbridge, then run dedicated buses between the stadium and the nearest station.

Big facts. If you're in MD and you're just getting into football and you get to choose between rooting for the Ravens or DC - it's not a contest.

I'd like the stadium to be in DC too but it doesn't seem realistic with their footprint of what they want to build around the stadium.

Anita's is everywhere - they have like 8 locations now. They've cornered the "you need a hot burrito when your shift starts at 5:30" market.

Good eye G1 - it's kinda small because Dan has single-handedly murdered millions of formerly proud Redskins fans into abandoning the team. They realize it's gonna be an uphill climb bringing fans back for the next 20 years unless this team somehow starts winning consistently and makes headlines for awards instead of lawsuits.

Small stadium would be a good thing.. They don't need 40K eagles fans there anymore

If Dan Snyder hadn't been running a shitty product for two decades. He lost the battle for the northern suburbs and that is on him not the politicians of DC. If you live in Bethesda are you driving the 20 miles to Fed Ex or the 36 to M&T? Annapolis? Fredneck? I am not going to invest public dollars into infrastructure that won't return value if I am a politician, political games aside.

I've been to the Titans stadium a few times and it's max capacity is like 68k, it doesn't seem small when you're there and has a cool vibe to it. I think the days of who has the biggest stadiums are over. Build one that you have the chance to fill to capacity every week...and that will probably still be a challenge for them if Dan is still here.
