Will Harris signed at Safety , played for New Orleans last year and lined up at many different spots on D. Sounds like a depth signing? Not too familiar with Harris.
Check out this cool link of all grades, this one below average, Tunsil:elite https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2025-nfl-free-agency-live-deal-grader-grading-and-tracking-every-transaction |
It was on Reddit (?) but they said that DQ wants to run a defensive package where they have a "big end" and Kinlaw fits the bill. Was called something like the Hog package? If I can find the post, will link here, but it made more sense to me after reading about it.
Is this what you saw? https://www.reddit.com/r/Commanders/comments/1j8hgt0/for_those_questioning_the_kinlaw_deal/ |

In fact comparing Chinn and Harris, Chinn's pff grade is only slightly better but the Raiders paid twice as much. Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
Not a big fan of the Kinlaw signing or the Tunsil trade but I fully recognize that Adam Peters is a hell of a lot smarter than me so I'll be optimistic.
Lots of needs and not a lot of picks. I'll be surprised if the first 2 picks aren't CB and DE. Someone mention DeMarcus Lawrence. That would make me feel a lot better because we really need help at RB too. Robinson is average at best. |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
Michael Gallup to visit:
https://www.si.com/nfl/commanders/news/former-dallas-cowboys-star-wr-michael-gallup-with-dan-quinn-ties-visiting-washington-commanders I could see him contributing but count me in the group that wanted to keep Dyami Brown. He is a good deep threat which played well for JD.
Dyami Brown was here for four years and had four touchdowns. He could have played another year and still not hit 1000 yards. He is a do nothing who had a couple nice postseason games where he still managed more fumbles than touchdowns. You will never hear his name again. Lol |
For some perspective read through last year’s free agency thread, some real gems in there
Lol. Did this last night. Was thinking the exact same thing. Me and you guilty too. We both referred to ertz as a role player. Im not going to pass judgement this year in March. Especially not on a perennial pro bowler. |

Oh I was totally off on Ertz. He had more in the tank than most of us thought. |
Washington Free Agents Signings

You only called him a role player. I called him a washed up bum over, and over again. Ha. Made me look like a fool and I love it. Seriously though as i was reading through the comments about this years additions and subtractions I decided to look back. People absolutely bashing someone last offseason and begging them to be resigned this offseason. Goes to show you never can tell. |

He didn't get enough opportunities through his career but still think the guy has talent. He was also instrumental in helping Commanders win 2 playoffs this year putting up nearly 100 yds in each. Glad you recognize that. Again, his strength is Jayden's strength (1 of many) which is the deep ball. Know he's not coming but rather he did. Honestly though Gallup would have already signed.

Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
Last year I think people were more excited about Armstrong than Fowler (and not over the moon about either) and Fowler played well for us. I trust AP to figure it out; he’s earned the benefit of the doubt.

Makes sense, jack of all trades…run, catch and picks up the blitz Still think they bring in someone from the draft. Super deep draft, hopefully a speed guy comes in…maybe someone who skill set is more Ekler than BRob |
