Pittsburgh looking more like Shittsburgh. They still have their starters in the 3rd quarter and still can't score or stop the Eagles.

G-girls again didn't look very good last night. :laughing2
I thought Shaub and the Raiders O looked bad, I still don't think they can get through Broncos, Chiefs and Chargers, in that order. :banghead: Mike Cary and Phil Simms both in the booth last night was almost unbearable. I guess Cary didn't have a problem calling the Skins-Bucs playoff game in 05 :puke: This week is the first time in NFL history, all under overs in Vegas are 40+. Per Hank Goldberg. Obviously due to flag bombardment. :bs: |
Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were arrested for possession of marijuana Wednesday, while Bell was also booked for DUI.
Bell and Blount allegedly had 20 grams of pot and were accompanied by a female, who was in possession of two grams. All three were said to be "cooperative," and admitted to the crimes. While this obviously isn't good news, it may have no affect on Bell or Blount's status for the 2014 season. Bell had zero off-field concerns coming out of Michigan State. Blount has a shaky track record. Both will be in line for potential suspensions once the case is resolved. Man, the Pittsburg RBs are in mid season form!
The quotes coming out from during the stop are just hilarious. "No, there's no marijuana in the car" <officer asks how long ago they smoked> "About a minute ago" "I didn't know you could get a DUI for smoking weed! I smoked like 2 hours ago, I'm not even high anymore!" |

Wow Sam Bradford. Tough break, hopeful that knee isn't too bad

Apparently Jerra' has stated to the press that the O line of the boys played so poorly, they would have to play the starting line in the last pre game to straighten it out

Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
The penalty on Swearinger was a terrible. Bang bang hit him with his shoulder. imo.
Manning getting his panties all bunched up and talking crap to the Texans was even worse. I wish Swearinger would have jack slapped him. Dont worry Manning it looks like you'll get to score on every drive this year. imo |

Sam Bradford is done for the season after re-tearing his left ACL in Saturday night's preseason game against the Browns.

-Mort
So, do we end the QB controversy before the year begins? Send em' Cousins? For a 1st rounder (maybe 2nd)? If RG3 bombs this year (I don't think he will), we have more ammo to find a new QB next year (or more likely, we have more ammo to help fix our crappy OL next year). |
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
Do we put out feelers to St Louis about KC? Gotta have some market at this point?
|
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
If I'm the GM I do not trade Cousins just because the local media and fans are having a field day with drumming up controversy.
A few wins in a row and all that nonsense goes away. You don't run the risk of being left with Colt Mccoy because of that. I honestly don't think anyone's going to offer anything close to what Allen would require to let him go. At least I hope he'd require a lot... |

And I am not saying it because of media, but because KCs value right now has to be as high as it possibly could. I would think you at least see what deal could be done. |

I say we fleece the Rams for a 2nd and at least 3rd. Nothing less

I don't see how you trade KC with what you are seeing from RG3 right now. Plus the chance of injury. The only way I see a trade is if the deal is just way too good or if management wants to just eliminate any QB controversy right now. But that is really putting all your eggs in one basket. |
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
Griffin has a glass ( a lot of stuff).
Do not trade Cousins. |
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
It certainly depends on the offer, in that it has to be a premium offer. I would think that a 2nd would be extremely hard to pass up.
|
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
Thank god some of you aren't running the team. Feel awful for Bradford. He just can't seem to get over the injury bug.
|
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
Kirk Cousins for Janoris Jenkins.
|
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
I know Cousins is not a starter so trade him now before he starts throwing picks again. It's the equivalent to getting a 2nd rounder for Grossman.

Wonder who the hell Palmer was throwing to? Reminds me of that INT in the Steelers/Cowboys Super Bowl game when Neil O'Donnell just tossed it to Larry Brown with nobody near by. |

Jason Campbell on the field baby! I think he threw two pick 6's last week. Lets see if he can top that.

If they offer a 2nd I'd drive Cousins to St Louis myself. It'd almost be fair, given the Rams RG3 trade, to give a little back to us. No one trades for players that look bad - to get a good draft pick we have to give up something that's relatively good. Cousins played well in preseason, against backups, and may be a good QB -- but right now I'd take the 2nd round pick for next year than a good backup QB. Sure, RG3 isn't playing well, and we know he can get hurt. Colt will do just fine to back him up with less controversy. Next year we'd have three picks in the top 60, and if we draft as well as this year seems to be, we'd have three starters. Maybe O-line, safety/secondary.. |
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
Yea let's trade a QB who has looked the best in preseason and be left with a QB who had the worst QBR last year and has looked just as bad this preseason.
Nice catch John Brown, he just "raided" the Bengal secondary. |
Thank god some of you aren't running the team. Feel awful for Bradford. He just can't seem to get over the injury bug.
He was fragile in college too with a shoulder injury. Bradford was the last #1 overall pick before the rookie salary cap, so don't feel too sad for him. His guaranteed money was on par with the signing bonus paid to Eli Manning after he won his first Super Bowl!

Nice catch John Brown, he just "raided" the Bengal secondary.
KC was 0-3 last year, and pretty poorly rated as well. If we used his good preseason along with Bradford's injury to garner a 2nd next year that seems like a no brainer. This franchise is going to go as far as Griffin takes them, for good or bad. Having KC do well in the preseaon presents us with a possible opportunity. Having KC on the roster during the season gives us a mediocre backup to whatever griffin turns into, and possibly yet another Skins qb controversy(yeah we love them) and/or challenge for a first year coach who got Andy Dalton to the playoffs multiple years. |
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
KC is not the answer. mccoy isn't really any worse than him, so if you can get a 2nd, take it (because it's clearly above his actual value). otherwise, you keep him.

Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
It's funny how Big Ben and Sam Bradford are the QBs who stay hurt the most. They are pocket Qbs.
