Lol. I meant to apologize to you when I wrote about eating crow. I will say the Eagles o line plus the guys they lost = shit birds. Haskins really needs to step it up. But im gonna enjoy this for at least a week! |
Re: Philly Game Day Thread
Looks like the Eagles are missing their home crowd in Landover. Lol

Re: Philly Game Day Thread
Looked like the same old Redskins in the first half. Then the d-line took over. Granted the Eagles had a lot of injuries but so be it. The Skins did what they are supposed to do against a beat up o-line. I think the d-line rotation also helps Kerrigan. He looked like a 20 something out there today.

Re: Philly Game Day Thread
I have to say what an impressive performance by this team. The fight they showed being down 17 was something we aren't used to. Had Gruden still been here, they would have given up. Ron had them fighting the entire time and it ended up paying off.
Incredible effort. Defensive unit gets the game ball. They won this game. |

Re: Philly Game Day Thread
If JDR keeps the defense performing like that all year, I’ll die. That was amazing

Re: Philly Game Day Thread
Game ball for Jack Del Rio.
We finally have a defensive coordinator. Ryan Kerrigan, who wanted him traded away? Kerrigan > Sweat. |
Re: Philly Game Day Thread
Thought I had web problems but it looks like its just nfl.com. Anyone know whats up?
Caught some of it on Red zone on Sky though so not all bad. I'll look at highlights etc. Before commenting but I'd say I called it fairly right before; D keeps us in it and O doesn't eff up. O will take time to gel (plus that OL!). Won't be able to do this every week but it shows promise 😊 |
Re: Philly Game Day Thread
Well this definitely wasn’t the start I was hoping for. I knew the offense wasn’t going to be good to start. But I was at least hoping the defense was be swallowing them up and it would be a low scoring game. Credit to the Eagles, they know our line is our strength and our secondary is weak and haven’t even tried to run the ball and just passing before the pass rush can get there.
Heck of a second half performance. There was bound to be some setbacks early with new coordinators. But heck of a performance to pull it together on both sides of the ball. I hope we can keep the momentum going and string some wins together. First opening home win since 2014! HTTWFT!! |
Re: Philly Game Day Thread
Chase Young has been the missing link, his performance got the whole D going. Kerrigan gets a lot of credit too.

Re: Philly Game Day Thread
What astonished me was that the coaches made half time adjustments !!!! On both sides of the ball !!! I did not know that Washington coaches were allowed to make adjustments to the game plan during half time. .....................

They destroyed the Eagles Offense in the 2nd half, it was so refreshing |
Re: Philly Game Day Thread
Penalties greatly decreased after half time.

This!!!!! It’s amazing what writing in a half time adjustments clause into coaches contracts will do! FU Bruce Allen!! :D |
Re: Philly Game Day Thread
OMG wtf am I watching. Get Gruden on the line asap. This team rebuilds backwards.
They are worse than last year and it isnt even close. They might not win a single game. The Giants are our only hope for a victory.
This is why I always wait until Monday to read the entire game day thread in entirety. It's always hilarious how insane most of you sound. |
Re: Philly Game Day Thread
First half looked like a team that made massive changes of coaching staff, players, well, an overhauled team with no preseason.
Second half looked like they worked it all out. Haskins was 10-15 passing in the second half and showed a lot of leadership. Story going around is that Rivera was getting an IV at halftime for his cancer treatment and Haskins gave a damn good halftime speech that fired everyone up. |

He could have just been dehydrated. |

You would sit em out and than look for shit to bring up after the fact monkey boy. Gtfoh If you had any monkey balls you would tell us we are insane while we are getting our asses beat. Not wait until the next day to be like haha i told ya all so. #weak #monkeybrains |

Re: Philly Game Day Thread
Actually yes, I did stay optimistic throughout the game. Many games are a tale of different halves.
Namecalling and hashtags coming out...oh no, what shall I do. Grow up. |
