Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/QUOTE] Is it classless to work talk to free agent quarterbacks when you already have ones on your roster, or should you cut your existing quarterbacks first? This is fairly common in the corporate world. You generally don’t fire a sr executive unless you have a replacement lined up. If the skins had fired manusky and then failed to secure all the top DC candidates, they’d be getting ripped for cutting manusky before they knew they could get someone better. I’m definitely not an apologist for this team, but i don’t see this as classless in of itself. Now, if we find out jay has told manusky he’s coming back but is doing this behind his back, that would be another story, but we don’t know what conversations they’ve had. For all we know, jays been up front with manusky and he’ll stay as defensive coordinator and is considering hiring Williams as “assistant head coach - defense” or something like that. This is the redskins, so anything is on the table lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The Skins are basically dipping into some strange while they decide if they really want to divorce Manusky

He did say that Snyder and Williams patched things up years ago. Evidently Snyder did a lot of to help out when Williams' father was declining. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Williams would be a great hire. I wanted him as HC but I'll settle for DC. He would bring some serious attitude and direction to the D.

He may decide this offer is more attractive than the Jets because if Jay gets fired during (or after) next season, he could leverage that into a HC job. I'm honestly a bit surprised the Browns didn't try to keep Williams and Kitchens. Perhaps keep Kitchens as OC and Williams as HC. I understand keeping kitchens on the team was a priority, but he went from running backs coach to OC in one year... I doubt many other teams would have been after him as a HC, but I could be wrong. |

I understand the mindset of keeping Kitchens for Baker's POV, so that is what it boiled down to. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Would love to see Double-G back as our DC. He'd probably be the best coordinator we've had since he himself left.
Sign him back and let him bring whoever he wants on that side of the ball. You think we'd have defensive players calling him out after a loss? |
