Peyton to the Jets. Sanchez to the Redskins. It's happening people!!
Shanahan likes his QBs just a tad reckless(Plummer, Cutler, Grossman). It's plausible. :FIREdevil: (fuel added to the FIRE):laughing- |
Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Not sure why the Ravens have better odds at Peyton going there over the 49ers. No way the Ravens bring in Peyton. If Flacco has a bad year (or post season) next season, could be a different ball game.
What are we going to do with a dead HoFer?
If Peyton Manning is healthy and can be signed as a free agent, I'd consider it, but if we have to give up draft picks, no thank you. I'm also not interested in Weedon, it would be Chris Weinke all over again. If we're gonna have to give up picks for a qb, go all in and get Luck.
OMG, ok folks can we lay of the Chris Weinke BS? We could say the very same thing about each QB. Let me show you.... "I don't want PM cause he might turn out to be another McNabb." "I don't want RGIII or Luck cause they might turn out to be another J.Campbell." You see. We all want so bad for the QB we want to take to be picked so we over look their possible fault and talk big about all the other QB's faults. All I know is we had a look at Weeden and how he somewhat could run our basic offense and he did very well. Even the INT in the Senior Bowl can't be blamed on him like some would like to believe, he was hit in the lower back while trying to deliver the ball and the ball was INTed. The bad news is we don't even know how RGIII or Luck would look in our offense or if they would even get along with our coaching staff. "You know we wouldn't want to throw all those draft picks at a Rookie QB whom we don't even know if he can play in the NFL or might turn out to be a dud cause they are not playing in the spread offense or are having to take the ball from the Center 60-70% of the time which they didn't do in college." |
Because of Caldwell?
Ill ask him, but he lives in Bmore and commutes to work. I know he stated before that the organization needs to shake something up because with the talent they have over the last several years they should be playing in superbowls. I gotta agree, they have the talent. I know hes not been happy with the play of Flacco. |
Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Well it looks like the interest I thought was lost on Orton is indeed back, after talking to a couple of people with the Redskins this morning. Still no interest in Flynn from what I'm told. But yes on Manning and Orton.
Manning/Orton and Tannehill/Cousins looking like currently the most likely combinations. With possibly another QB drafted later in the draft. But it's still so early |
Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
why does anyone believe peyton manning will start another game? what has he shown anyone?

It's the willingness to be optimistic because of the incredible talent that PM has shown over the last 10 or so years. At this point he has not shown anything one way or the other. |
Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
A couple of tidbit tweets. Should be a lot more info coming in this week.
@Russellmania980 Chris Russell Steve Young on @SportsCenter thinks Peyton could have possibly already spoken to a perspective new coach to make sure it is a fit. #Redskins @Russellmania980 Chris Russell #Redskins coaches back in full effect this am. The five month odyssey (UFA/Draft/OTA) of getting respect and a ring starts full blast today! |

Apparently he's shown enough to his doctors to be cleared to play football. |

I'm still not so sure entirely what to believe on Manning. My understanding is they don't really intend to negotiate with Manning. They have a set "take it or leave" deal in mind (don't know what the terms are). And if he accepts great. If not, they move on. |
