I felt that way too, but then I thought those might become vintage.
Like if Chase Young has an awesome career as a Redwolf/Wolf/Commander/WhateverThisIsNotThePointOfThisPost, I think having a Young WFT rookie season jersey is kinda cool.

But yeah, can't wait for the new name to be announced in early 2022.

I can better that I have a Chase Young Redskin Jersey (Not a Pirate or custom job either). The last 1st round pick of the Redskins should be worth something in a few years.

I hope they stick with WFT but they won't - it would make it too easy to still call them the Redskins.

Im with CRed - Ill support whatever they call themselves.
There are definitely Indigenous Americans who liked the name. There are definitely those who did not.
But I am completely over it, and it is time to move on. Why? Because its the name of a fuckin sports team for God’s sake not a life or death situation.

Jason and his team would look so lame after talking up the renaming process and bragging about the trillions of fans inputs they received for 2 years, if in the end they stuck with the temporary name found in 2 weeks.

That’s really what a lot of this boils down to. 20 years ago maybe I’d be more fired up about the name change. Now I’m like eh, ok, I’ve got bigger things to concern myself with. Life is tough enough as it is, got to go with the flow when you can and pick your battles. Some things aren’t worth the stress.

Unless the whole roll out is without a hitch (no roller derby team pop ups) and it is a clear reflection of diligent effort, there will be questions as to why it took so long. Someone on here suggested they are purposely letting it span two years to have the fans ready for a name, no matter what that name is. If that WAS part of their plan, then kudos it is working. If it wasn't and they go with an obvious one (wolves, wft, sentinels) then they need to explain why it took 2 years.

I hope they have all their ducks in a row, and start doing some "subliminal prepping" so that we can rock the new name asap.
