Let's not forget the moves that we had the opportunity to make but didn't-Adalius Thomas, Courtney Brown, Simeon Rice, Antonio Bryant, among others.

And yes I realize there are potentially positive moves we didn't make either.

I can understand the desire to hire a young guy and let him do his thing for the next 10 years. But at the same time you have to consider all qualified candidates regardless of age. If someone with the resume of a Bill Cowher is sitting out there when the Skins are looking for a new head coach, I don't know how you can pass him up simply because he's not a young guy.

I don't get it. What is the appeal of having a young head coach? For every Gruden, there's a Linehan. I think it's alot better to have a proven presence at head coach. It makes it that much easier for the players to respect him and buy into his system. Energy and enthusiasm only get you so far, you've got to have the knowledge and experience to be a great head coach, with a few exceptions.

Also in this category - Marcus Washington & Cornelius Griffin rather than Jevon Kearse. Bet the eagles would make that trade in heartbeat.

It's the "grass is greener" mentality. We have to draft like the 90's Cowboys team, have a young coach like Pittsburgh or Tampa Bay, and have an explosive offense like Indy or New England.
Its being discussed because after 3.5 years we are nowhere close to being a dominant team.
I'm not going to read this thread, but I did read the first page. I don't really want to participate, but I will say this: 3.5 years is all the time necessary to be a "dominant" team? Lower your expectations, and wake up to reality. It takes a decade or more to make a dominant team. Look at NE, IND, and PIT.

The PRIMARY reason we are not dominant is the impatience in our organization and fan-base, IMO.
