The lead changed hands 7 times. THEIR coach said they were FORTUNATE to have the lead at halftime. We had 2 interceptions and a fumble recovery. We had a ton more yardage than they did. And yet you say they dominated. You said in another post that we didn't have a good defense and we would lose. It's not that I dislike you because you're a cowgirl fan, I just don't think you know what the h*** you're talking about. You say you're not biased but then you say N.O. dominated the game when the facts don't back it up. You're a trip dude.
ok here we go again First it only changed 4 times (5 if you count the first score) if you go for facts, seconds I said that the controlled the score for almost the second half and had the game in their hand and gave it away in 1 play. I said both teams didn't had a good defense but that your team against NY showed good redzone defense not allowing them to score in multiple locations, and the reason I thought you would lose was that your team hadn't played well or showed anything in the 5 previous games ( 4 pre season 1 regular game) and I couldn't side with your team because of it. My assessment was based more in offense then defense i said I trusted more N.O offense than Was and that was going to be the difference. After the game and in that same paragraph you quoted i said that the offense showed the spark that we were waiting and hadn't seen and that the defense was the reason you guys won the game. But it was a good close game that was won in the final minutes for the whole 3rd and almost the 4th quarter N.O was winning the game that's what I was saying with domination because they lost the lead with 3 minutes had a chances to win it back and couldn't because your defense stood up in fact theyhad 3 drives in the 4th qt and couldn't do anything that's what won the game |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
I guess your assessment was wrong.

Re: Around the NFL week 2
Tom Brady goes down. Carson Palmer has a 37.1 passer rating, worst in the NFL. The Bills, sorry folks, are good. I Love it. It's almost week 3 and I am just as excited. If there is a God, however the Cowboys will self destruct. No one group of people could be this shameless and arrogant and still win it all. I dont know who I hate more, Tony Romo or his retarted girlfriend-turned-country singer Jessica Simpson.

Man Arrogant the patriots are arreogant and that's why I hate them the most, The eagles are arrogant without even winning a SB

Re: Around the NFL week 2
you know i'm sick of all this shit about the ref missing that call in denver.it seems to me the reason that the chargers lost that game is because they played like shit most of the game.they should'nt blame the ref, ronald mcdonald,or jack the ripper, they need to blame themselves for all the other plays on both sides of the ball that they played crappy duringlast sunday, not anything else.find a way to win,not a way to whine when you lose.

I would agree with your assesment of the pats, however they have some credentials. The Cowboys are everyones sexy pic every year to win the NFC. Why? because they look good on paper? T.O. is the worst though. He might be good but I think he's one of the most overrated players in the league today. He drops a lot of balls. I wouldnt single him out, but he begs for it. He has thrown his teammates under the bus repeatedly. Hell, he insulted the Cowboys on numerous occasions as an Eagle and now Dallas fans embrace him and cheer his name. It's really sad. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
i hate dallas too,but T.O is a great WR bar none.he's brass, arrogant, and he seems like a real asshole, but he is one hell of an athelete.he may be a shitty teammate, but the eagles would have loved to have kept him because he's a winner wherever he goes.

I never argued that he wasnt good. I said he was overrated. I have seen this guy drop so many passes. He is probably the best at his posistion at route running and getting open, but his hands are not that of an elite wideout. Also last I checked a good wide reciever needs a good quaterback to throw him the ball. T.O. has had this luxury throughout his entire career. |

While I see your point, you need to remember a couple things. 1- it was a good game, and San Diego played well...obviously they did since it came down to one play for the game. 2- Had the call been called correctly, they would have won. You can't slice that any other way. The refs should not lose you a game, and in this unfortunate case, it did. The chargers have my sympathy for that one cause if this happened to my skins, I'd be f-ing irrate! |

To add to that there was a call in the beginning of that game where it was ruled that a san diego player fumbled. The call was wrong, but it was not overturned because the replay equipment was not working at the time. Normally I would say suck it up after one bad call, but the chargers really took it in the shorts on this one. |

I'm sorry but this statement it's wrong but after troy went down and Dallas was in their 5 -11 season they never were picked to win the NFC specially since it was the Eagles glory days back then there's only been 2 years Dallas has been picked to win the NFC this one and the last one and heck they had 13-3 record last year so the media wasn't that wrong Nobody had NY to win the NFC, Dallas lost but it wasn't over hyped it's not like when they pick Arizona each year as their surprise team or Minnesota to win the SB just because the got Jarred Allen don't mind they don't have a qb. Now to say T.O it's overrated it's dumb the guy it's second all time in td's behind Rice only and Rice had to HOF at QB, talk about luck. I have to say because of the media I also hated T.O before he got to Dallas and I for 1 didn't want him here because of the perception I had off him I didn't want to disrupt the team. But since he came and the more I've seen read and heard off him (complete interviews not the edit version everyone gets), the guy it's a huge competitor an excellent teammate heck players in philly took his side over McNabb and are still great friends of him. The guy works and plays hard each week always gives it his all and wants to win. I want a guy like that on my team always. The guy isn't a punk he doesn't get in trouble with the law, he's show business he sell his product which is T.O the media want to talk to him because every week they know they will get something print and everyone will read it sad but true some of the things are just lame but still people read it. He's one of the greatest WR all time and that's a fact he might drop balls yeah but he scores 10+ td's each year how many WR do that. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
