Re: The Collins Sighting
You know.. during the game I was thankful for Collins coming in, to see what would happen. Maybe it's hindsight, but that was JC's game to turn back around. I know that you don't pack it in in Week 6, but it's definitely not like we were looking at a title run and we know that. Unless Campbell gets hurt he should stay in.

Re: The Collins Sighting
Its sucks to see the the defense play their butts off and the offense doesn't do squat. Zorn needed to try something different and he went with putting Collins in the game. Well the results still sorry ass offense just had a few more passes down the field. Collins is a statue so if pressure comes and no WR are open he gets sacked. JC can escape the pressure but he is playing like a coward behind his dirty ass O-Line. Both QB's are terrible behind this line and this BS offense scheme.

Re: The Collins Sighting
Ok so now the Collins supporters got their wish to see Collins in the game. To be fair he has not played in nearly 2 seasons so maybe if he gets more practice with the 1st team it could help him. But why use TC now when Zorn will be fired and JC won't be resigned unless its a 1 or 2 year deal. JC looks like a coward and doesnt want to stand tall in the pocket with his happy ass feet. Who could blame him with this dirty ass O-Line in front of him. I got a idea why not give the offense the week off because they can't do any worse than what we have seen thus far. They practice all week and they score 6 points what a joke.

Re: The Collins Sighting
neither. wish we would have kept daniels to see what he could have done.
|
Re: The Collins Sighting
pulling JC was a crude attempt by Zorn to save his own hide. Now that we know he is not calling the plays, JC ought to get a chance to play real ball.

Re: The Collins Sighting
I voted for Campbell for silly football related reasons, but after driving into work and hearing dozens of people on the radio talk about how Campbell sucks and Collins is the savior, I actually hope they plant that 38 year old statue behind that horrendous offensive line, against Phillies pass rush next week...
I think if Todd Collins is the starter, then Dan Snyder should wear a polo, get on the sidelines, and call plays.
Why go halfway to inept hilarity, and call it quits?
Let's be fair. He hasn't played in two years and doesn't get work w/ the first team o. He played well ( 2 years ago) when he got his chance, even though no one thought he would play well. JC is just not getting it done. I almost wish they didn't IR Brennan. Now would be the perfect time to see what the kid could do. |
The comparison is ridiculous because Campbell should be much farther along then he is now. The comparison shouldn't be this close right now.
I was thinking the same thing watching Flacco and Ryan. Both those guys are so much farther along in their 2nd years then JC is in his 5th. |

I agree. Why not? As of right now I would start JC next week. I would like to see what he does after being benched and having someone else call the plays. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
JC is the best chance to win right now. JC is a playaction QB. I dont know if I have seen a single rollout playaction play all season.

Re: The Collins Sighting
Collins looked rusty out there but with a full week of practice he should be better next week if he starts. JC was simply terrible today....if I see hime step up in the pocket and not re set his feet one more time I'm going to puke. He's developed some really bad habits and Zorn must be ready to pull his hair out.
You are on drugs. They both stink and they will continue to stink until they have an offensive line that can provide protection. NO quarterback can perform with this horrible offensive line. Campbell or Collins is like comparing a young scrub versus an old scrub. A scrub is still a scrub. |

Agreed completely. Also, as soon as I heard (thankfully could not watch the game here in PA) that Campbell was benched for Collins...I knew that was Zorn's last nail in the coffin. Stupid move, which was proven. Collins can't even avoid a safety on our last chance to come back. Campbell has not played badly with what he's been given in terms of protection and playcalls. |
Re: The Collins Sighting
Lets start Antwaan Randle El at quarterback and run the wildcat offense. At least is would be different and entertaining. Not the same old three yards and a cloud of dust we have been watching.

I wouldn't mind seeing that as a part of the offense this year...not full-time, but it would be entertaining. |
