That was a hell of a linebacking corps at USC. I wonder if there has been 3 college LB's starting at the same time who went on to have as much success as these 3 have?

Word. Rey did play out of position since Keith Rivers is a vet MLB. Not sure what Cinci plans to do w/ Maualuga long term. I mean I think he'll be a monster in the middle but maybe he gets better at SLB too.

All your Mike Zimmers are belong to us. Your defense are on your way to destruction. Make your time.

As for the Jets strategy of drafting Brick and Mangold together. Well it's hard to argue with the results. A 31 year old running back with 1,400+ yards and a 4th round pick with 500 yards. 2,700+ yards total rushing with a 4.5 ypc average is Terrell Davis territory.

I believe we could do the same thing with Okung and DuCasse. Still remember this is a team that easily could have gone 8-8 (I would say 7-9 but they proved the victory over Cincy wasn't a fluke), and they had the #1 defense in the league both in PPG and YPG. They'll be good long term thanks to Sanchez . Still it's funny how similar this team is to the 2001 Ravens.

The only thing that worries me about not taking a QB first is the possibility that we will not be picking in the top 10 for a while. Remember we don't have Zorn as our HC and Vinny isn't in the front office. You have a much better chance of finding a franchise QB here then you do later. Though as I've said before I will not complain if we go OL with our first 2 or 3 picks. Namely our first and second rounders.

well rey was a 2nd round pick and was the lowest drafted of all three, so it shouldnt be too much of a shock. all 3 are great players though, you are right.

danny will put up enough money to get whoever shanahan wants, its that simple. theres too many people out there to make a stab at it. whoever it is, our defense will still be top ten. the D is fine, its the O that needs to be revamped

HUH?

But I do agree with you that this Jets team does look an awful like the 2001 Ravens. Great Running game and a Great Defense.

Haha, good one dirtbag. I laughed so hard I spit coffee onto my keyboard.

But seriously, Cincy losing yesterday makes the chances of Zimmer coming here better, yes?

See Johno gets it, why can't you AMFHOF07? Lol, just kidding, it's a reference to a poorly translated video game from the early 90's.

Today it's an internet fad. Anyway sorry about your keyboard Johno.

Ahh... cool I get it. I never had heard that before. I was a kid in the early 90s but I don't believe that ever made it to our shores. Or my ass would have played it back then!! I think I was like 14.

lol
