Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
Comp % is good but it's all about winning my man, that's the bottom line, Rodgers and Brees are amazing no doubt but if they are elite then rivers and Eli could be also, remember Eli has won a SB
Winning has nothing to do with what we were talking about. Trent Dilfer won a SB, as did Brad Johnson. Winning a SB doesn't make you elite. |

I said taking Campbell over Garrard would get you fired. |
Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
So is Tony romo elite? He puts up the same numbers as Rodgers basically. Is rivers elite? I mean 6 QBs aren't elite my man come on
|
Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
And how would that get me fired? Garrard and JC are equal my Man, both are avg QBs. No arguing that

Yes there is, I'll take Garrard over JC any day. |

Romo no turns the ball over too much Rivers getting there Brees Brady Manning Rodgers 4 elite QBs IDK where you got 6 |
Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
Alright we will end it at that lol good stuff though it's funny how ryan Mallett turned into every QB in the league. Good stuff my man and Rodgers is damn close I'll give u that. HTTR

Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
Ok it's good there and I was basically talking about garrard, he's a decent player nothing more
Never said Garrard was special. I said 64% was good, you said it was decent, then I listed all the top QBs whose % was right at or even lower than 64%, then you went all Charlie Sheen on me and started talking about "winning" |
Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
Lol ok but u said winning isnt everything so if rivers and romo put up The same numbers and win many many games I'd say they are elite them too. Again that's a strong word. I give u the comp % argument but I'll take The elite argument, be reasonable. I'm out buddy it was a good discussion

Where did I say winning isnt everything? It's the only thing but that was irrevelant to our conversation. Not giving you the elite argument. 4,000 yard plus his first two seasons, Professionally, Rodgers is the NFL's all-time career leader in passer rating during both the regular season (98.4), and in the post-season (112.6) ? among passers with at least 1,500 and 150 pass attempts respectively. He also owns the league's lowest career pass interception percentage for quarterbacks during the regular season (1.99%) Yeah he is no where near elite |
Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
^ really ? So they didnt say tebow struggled reading defense and his mechanics were very bad? Because I could have swore they did. I agree with the black QB crap but in all fairness historically they aren't very accurate passers, Moon was phenomenal but for instance look at it today, Vick? mcnabb? Garrard? I mean those guys have struggled with comp % through out their career . I'm all for black QBs I could care less what color they are but don't say the networks are just dogging them for nothing.
John Elway has a career completion percentage of 56%. DM5's career completion percentage is 59%, Dan Marino's career completion percentage is 59%. Yet, everyone's perception is DM5 is horribly inaccurate. When his numbers are on par with some of the greatest QB's who ever played in the NFL. This is one of many examples why I think some of the coverage is biased. In some cases, the criticism is justified. My only concern is when they generalize whenever their covering a Black QB. |
Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
It's not racist when u hear him talk he does sound streetwise. Everyone's trying to condemn Jamie as a racist for that are you kidding me? He never even mentioned color. Racists are known to be very ignorant. I can see wrong choice of words. Jamie actually likes Mallett as a pro QB. So can we talk Football of move this crap to the good ole boy section?
lmao..... exactly!!!!!! |
Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
I don't why when ever there's any racial discussion going on Whites always have to play the Jessie Jackson Al Sharpton card. There's plenty of White racial ambulance chasers too. Especially Rush Limbaugh. Here's an example.
From Kids on Bus to Kanye West: Race Rules All in Obama's America Also, Fox News says racist stuff about Blacks all day long. So to say there's a "double" standard is rediculous. As If Blacks are the only ones who make politically incorrect statements. YouTube - Fox Attacks: Black America Now I don't see any of you self righteous defenders of parity condeming what's happenign on the other side of the political spectrum. Also, as for the NFL network. I get sick and tired of them questioning the mental dexterity of Black QB's. All of the criticisms center around the mental and psycological aspects of the position. I've never heard a White QB on their get critisized for their ability to "read-defenses" or "study his playbook".
I understand your point. I really do. But maybe you're too young to remember Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson saying Terry Bradshaw couldn't spell "cat" if you spotted him the C. I don't think it's only Black QB's whose mental abilities are questioned. Personally I question Romo's and Eli's quite often. :) |
Re: Was Jamie Dukes out of line on Ryan Mallett?
Tom Brady to me is the best QB in the league and has been since 01 he puts up great numbers and never losses, maybe the best QB of all time as I've said multiple times
Hands down, Peyton Manning is the best QB that will have ever played this game before it's all said and done. I think you give Brady a little too much credit for those Super Bowls Brady has had a lot of luck and a lot of help along the way. Injury to Bledsoe? Tuck rule? One of the most reliable kickers in NFL history(kasay) kicking it out of bounds on kick off at the end of the game? Adam Vinatieri probably has won more games for the Patriots than Brady. A top ten defense each year they are in the Super Bowl (ranked either 1 or 2 in points allowed) save for maybe one year. Manning started with nothing. Brady was drafted on to a team that had talent still from it's Super Bowl appearance 4 years earlier. Brady will NEVER catch Manning's numbers. If you were to take Manning and switch him and Tom Brady, Manning could have won 3-4 more Super Bowls. It's unfortunate he's had to carry that team for so long, but you aren't going anywhere unless you have a defense come playoff time. Brady is good and somebody I would want on my team, but the guy is a lucky mother ****er too. He's got a rabbit foot stuck up his ass no doubt. |
