Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
This is the NFL...home of any given Sunday and letdowns. We will find out on Sunday if the Skins are who we think they are.
21-13 Skins. |

21-13 Skins.[/quote] Yes this is an important game to establish the redskins in the NFC. I can argue (with just myself) that it may be more important than cowboys game because it will show how the redskins handle "trap" games. And how they handle lesser profile teams. And Whether they continue their effort, energy, and intensity. If they do-- then I predict a big redskins win: 35-10 |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Their Defense is going to make Rex look like he's MVP material..watch...this is not your normal Rex Grossman...He's been reprogramed

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I am actually very nervous about this game. I just want BB to take one to the house on the opening kickoff. That will alleviate my anxiety.

Man I hope so. It would be so nice to have an offense that features a pro bowl quarterback and running back. Short of Portis and Brad Johnson, these are things we have lacked here in DC for a long while. Still, its only week 2, and I think we will have a much more clear picture of the teams true identity after this week. Nice to start the season off with a divisional and conference win. Lets find out if we are contenders, or just a .500 team......But I do think that anyone thinking this team will win 6 games or less this year is fooling themselves...... |

What I wanna see from Rex isn't nesecarily a 517 yard tom brady performance...lets face it Tom is great he will go to the hall first ballot see im a history major..and history has shown that All the Redskins really need is a consistant qb not a Hall of famer consistant QB play (with the Exeception of Joe theisman and Sonny) Mark Rypien and Doug Williams will probably never see themselves in a hall of fame bust. Brad Johnson, Rypien, and as much as I hate saying this Mark Brunell were all consistant when the skins did well...I wanna see Rex be consistant the supporting cast will make him great. I disagree with the experts that the NFC east is all about the QB position...Eli couldn't hold his brothers jock even when they won the superbowl. I love that our team is the most un drama team in the NFL and the spotlight is on the cowboys and eagles.....I love that we have talent but no one wants to recognize it..If were playing in Febuary on that Sunday and we come out the victor I promise you we STILL won't get respect. Our D is gonna crush captain checkdown Kolb |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
We had better run much better than we did vs NY , a shootout with AZ could get ugly . I doubt they can handle a steady dose of Hightower and Torain , as this is an early start after traveling to the east coast . I believe west coast teams lose 88 % of games played back east with a 1 pm EST start . Run , run and run some more ... play action and hit Davis , Moss and Cooley down the seem for some big plays .

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Hopefully it's nothing like my Franchise game on Madden.
Rex Grossman 22-54 198 1/1 I play with realistic sliders you can find online to make the game harder, but this game was ugly. |

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I think the Redskins team this season are determined to win their home games. Shanny has been preaching defending home field. Over the years the Redskins have not made teams pay when coming to FedEx field.
The keys to winning week 2 1. Hightower 100 yard day 2. Win the time of possesion 3.Rex no turnovers 4. Rex spreading the ball to our wr, te and rb 5. O-line keeping Rex clean 6. Defense keeping Cards under 250 yards passing, Under 70 yards rushing. 7. Special teams Gano not missing FG's. Prediction Redskins 31-Cards 17 |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Oh yea and we have a 60/50 chance to win this game just like the Giants game. LOL
Ok my bag 60/40 chance. HTTR |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Some predictions for this game
Kerrigan gets his first sack Fitz catches 2 tds Moss has over 100 yrds and a TD Fred Davis has more yards than cooley We knock around Kolb pretty good, think he has 2 turnovers Our O Line looks good but not great against a front 7 with some very good players Skins 28-Cards 20 |
Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I just want a win

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
I think that Helu will see more playing time this week. I hope he uses his opportunity well. I can't wait to see him take one to the house.

Re: Skins vs Cardinals pre-game thread
Both teams are largely unknowns at this point. Sure, the cards racked up some yards but v. a poor team, and they won on a punt return.
We put up some #s v. a beat up defense. Our D looked so much better, but let's not forget the giants o line is rebuilding & they lost some depth at wr. |
