That is nearly correct. The 6th round pick from NE is a 2013 pick. Also, the Skins owe the Cards an unspecified late round pick as part of the trade for Tim Hightower. I assume that we won't have one of either our 7th round or our 6th round pick. That leaves us with 8 picks as things now stand.

If you had a choice of a Michael Vick type QB or a Tom Brady, who would you take? Brady of course. How many athletic type QB's have won a SB? I can only think of one, Steve Young. Give me a traditional type: Manning, Rothlisberger, Brady, Rogers.
Roethlisberger is not a "traditional" QB.
What exactly are you saying? You haven't made not one valid point. I'm showing what talking about. Is Landry Jones more accurate than RG3? Just say yes or no. Is he more mobile than RG3? Just say yes or no. If you don't disagree with me then what is your argument? If you do, I'll be more than happy to prove you wrong.
So you're like a self-proclaimed college football watching qb guru, huh? RG3 has a better completion percentage, thanks in large part to an early season schedule of cupcakes. Like I said earlier, his last three games have been pretty underwhelming. And yes, he runs better than Jones. And like I said all along (and you agreed so I really don't see what your deal is) Jones is the better pro prospect. You're excruciating.
The BIGGEST problem is easily the corners. Easily.

Other than that, we need more size in the middle of our line, they seem to get out muscled way too easily.
We get shut out and you blame it on the corners?
With the below average QB play so far this season, the Redskins would have been better off keeping Donovan McNabb, and McNabb would have probably played better in his second year in this offense. So Mike Shanahan deserves a ton a criticism for one, trading for McNabb and giving up a second and fourth rounder, and two, not retaining McNabb because neither Grossman or Beck can fill McNabb's shoes.

So, the priority next offseason is definitely a quarterback. Mike Shanahan also deserves even more criticism because he should have known that John Beck or Rex Grossman were average QB, far below the Tom Brady's, Peyton Mannings, and Matt Schuabs of the world.
The man got his ass benched for a rookie who has the same amount of time and experience to learn a new offense. The bitch even tried to hype up the new relationship with Musgrave as much better than his with Kyle's because Musgrave supposedly tailored the offense to his strengths. And he still got his ass benched...

And actually, Musgrave probably ran a WCO, so he should have been comfy in that offense.

It starts in the trenches.....solidify the lines. We are getting dominated on both sides of the ball on the lines.
We have the picks and the $$ under the cap to address this and other needs in the off-season.

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

Our biggest and most important upgrade we need is without a doubt:

1) The Fans - I keep hearing how Redskins fans are some of the most intelligent out of the NFL, but I simply don't see it. (probably same throughout the league) I see a good many who are just as knee jerk reactionary about this team as our lousy owner is. What kills me the most is these same people are probably the same ones bashing Snyder for doing exactly what they are doing. /facepalm

2) QB- The most important position on the field. QB play can make lesser talent look better and make better talent look worse. It hasn't been all of our QBs fault, but it certainly needs to be upgraded big time.

3)OL - We are seeing what happens when injuries occur on the OL front. The line had been playing well for most of the year, but we seriously need some more depth and upgrades in the OL. I do think people are overlooking the injuries.

4) WR- Hard to tell if our receivers are part of the problem or it's QB play. We are in dire need of a big time play maker though. If it's a QB problem, then you can move this down the list.

5) CBs- Time to trade D. Hall in for somebody with less mouth and more action.

This team really has so many needs. I think people's expectations went too high with the early wins and great off-season. This team still lacks a ton of talent from top to bottom. We are however getting there.

Exactly. ... Qb is obv.... And WR isn't too far behind. ZERO talent other than Moss

I agree CB is an issue. But Wilson and Barnes are having bad game after bad game. PB hasnt seen the field and has proven to be a waste of roster space so far. But yet we need to trade D. Hall? He's not having a bad year. Im more frustrated we let Carlos go, gave Wilson money and drafted this POS Barnes in the first place.

Also funny are these ideas that trades are just easily made.

This team needs a Brandon Flowers type CB, not the pretend CB's we have.

Yep, trade all the fans to the Colorado Rockies.

I wasn't insinuating we "trade" him. I said "trade him in". As in, get rid of the bad part and pick up a newer better part(whether we cut/trade/draft/etc). I agree, it's not just D. Hall stinking up the joint in the secondary, but he gets the most emphasis because he runs his mouth the most. If you want the limelight, be prepared to get burned by as well.

I mentioned him last week. he was really showing his ass last night in front of a national audience. Guy has turned into a very solid player.

Are you the sensitive type? OK, then how about this: You did very, very well my little Dirt dude! You got almost everything right, so I gave you a B+ which is nearly an A! Keep working hard and I just know you'll get an A+ next time.

Re: Positions Which Need to Be Addressed

I don't think we have the best secondary and it needs improvement, especially in depth, but it is not anywhere near the top of our problem areas. Any changes in defense this offseason should focus on depth and bringing in young players that could be starters in the near future (such as replacements for Atogwe, Hall).

Shanahan needs to focus on building up the offense first and foremost. We probably would have few complaints about the defense if the offense could put together a decent game.
