:(

I think when you look back at how badly we've been outcoached thus far, then look ahead to the remaining schedule, it's pretty easy to see a 4-12 or 5-11 season.

It's especially frustrating for someone who isn't "surrounded" by Skins fans drinking the kool-aid i.e. I have a ton of friends and fam who are Denver fans and not a single one thinks Shanahan deserves an HC job...anywhere. I think commentators are sympethetic to him because of the two SBs, but again when you look close it was really his coordinators, John Elway, Sharpe, Davis and a top defense that produced those trophies. I truly think any HC would have won with those teams.
I was just tying to figure out what's to like about a defense that's almost as bad as ours. We faced the Bengals too and the Saints still have an offense that can move the ball and score at will.
Well we also played STL (28th ranking) and they scored at will on us. SO this week we have TB (32nd ranking). If they run up the score on us I think it is safe to say CLE has a better DEF then us.

Remind me again why did they signed him to a 100 million contract?
I'd give the Skins the edge because of their offense.

Just like us, Cleveland is giving up a ton of yards on defense. What is it that you like about their defense?
They are giving up 10 less points per game though.

Skins- giving up 34 points per game

Browns - giving up 24.5 point per game

Browns have a better defense. Giving up yards really doesn't mean squat unless your opponent is punching it in the end zone.

At this point why am I still on this board???? I just got some cool Brown's stuff at lunch and a Richardson jersey.

Cleveland ROCKS!

I'm so glad that he's not on our squad.

^ remember hearing a top scout speak last year before the draft who sat in during a Cam interview during the combine and said his he just couldnt spend a top 5 pick on him. He said his concern was 0% physical or skill-wise but 100% mental. He had multiple red flags.

I thought after last season i thought, wow dude must have been wrong. Now Im starting to see exactly what he was refering too.

Yet VY never had a season like Cam did last year. I won't write old Cam off yet.

The problem with this line of thinking is that Walsh only won with Montana, Noll only won with Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson only won with Aikman, Belichik only won with Brady, ect... The list goes on. And a lot of people believe that those teams could have won as constructed with a lot of other coaches at the helm.

If the point is that Joe Gibbs was a great coach because of 3 SB's with 3 different QB' and RB's, then im with you 100%.

If the point is that the only coaches who are considered good coaches have to have won SB's with high schoolers to prove that they can outcoach the other sideline. Under that scenario, there is no such thing as a good coach, they are all terrible.

I dont believe the problem is Shanny the coach. I believe the problem is Shanny the GM. Its easy to look outcoached when other teams are more talented than yours. I figured it would take several years after Vinny left office to make up for his mistakes, but its year 3, and we still have massive holes all over the place. Allen needs to have that final say on player acquisition imo.

I think they gave vick that contract based solely on what he did to us a couple years ago. So take that eagles! Lol.

That was Mike Mayock that killed him in his review. It tells me a lot about a person when they are getting their asses handed to them, and the guy still wants to show off (doing the Superman shit) after scoring a TD. I'm like, hey superman, you aren't too super because you are getting your ass handed to you.
Yet VY never had a season like Cam did last year. I won't write old Cam off yet.
He had a "pro-bowl" type of season and ended up in the pro-bowl just like Cam. Him having a fantastic year doesn't mean jack shit really. Having fantastic years of play is another story. Their offense they ran last year was more designed to suit his strengths, but now the real test is going to begin. After teams have tape and a full year of watching him, they'll be able to game plan for him much better. (as noted in the games this year)

I said from the get go with him that his first year wouldn't mean jack (good or bad), but it would be his second and third year as to how he'll do in the long run. I believe that with mostly any QB to be honest with you. (RGIII as well)
