So next time I see a man carrying a large nylon bag down to the gym, I'll tackle him? I don't get what you mean, in relation to this type of attack. Everyone focusing on the runners, a man calmly places a bag down, maybe acts like he forgot something in the store, then a few minutes later he doesn't return, and a new group of people have made there way into the area.
Hard to know if a keen eye at the exact right moment might have prevented this, but certainly the cameras on the street would give the robot judges exactly what they need to see for evidence.
I believe we have had this discussion as a group before and the consistence was it is equivalent to a sucker a punch. Really no way to defend a sucker punch you can certainly retaliate after the first hit but how do you defend something you have no idea is coming. We don't live in a country where street bombs are common place so when one goes off it is a sucker punch. |

re: Update: Second Boston Marathon Suspect Captured
So I leave work at 2 for a meeting and the last headline on CNN is an arrest has been made. Im like great. I come home and pull up the news a little after 4 and no arrest has been made.
Can the media been fined for sh*t like this? They really really should, its horrible. |

Then they wonder why conspiracy theories start. Somebody will use the wrong announcement as proof that the govt is covering up something. And it just sort of spirals out of control.
I understand like Matty said, in the initial hour or two after an incident conflicting reports may occur. But at some point the media ought to be held accountable for unverified and misleading reports. Somehow allowing for 1st amendment rights at the same time. |

Hope that they catch the person or creeps that have done this. As they destroyed lives and three people are killed over it!

re: Update: Second Boston Marathon Suspect Captured
Again, more shitty reporting today. "He was caught";"Boston police say that not suspect has been caught"(again). Smh
