Pretty damn happy that this McCloughan guy landed in Washington. Never know what tomorrow holds and I dont want to get too excited until it translates onto the field, but I think we might be on to something finally.

Wow , both Kiper and Mcshay believe that the Skins had the best draft in the NFC East . Lets just hope these young men were the B & G with pride and passion !

Another good article:

Alabama NFL draft prospect Arie Kouandjio downplays knee issues | AL.com

And from Walter football:

image: http://walterfootball.com/college/Alabama_logo.gif

Arie Kouandjio, G, Alabama
Height: 6-5. Weight: 310.
40 Time: 5.52.
Projected Round (2015): 2-3.
4/27/15: Kouandjio excelled as a run-blocker in 2014, and Alabama had a lot of success running behind him. His pass blocking was improved over 2013, but he still has room to get better in that area of his game for the next level. Kouandjio has the physical skill set to be a quality starter and play quickly in the NFL. He has quickness, athleticism and strength.

8/27/14: Kouandjio had some mixed outings in 2013, including the season opener against Virginia Tech. He got better on a weekly basis. Kouandjio had a good game against LSU, but didn't fare as well against Auburn or Oklahoma. The junior was burned for a lot of pass pressures and some sacks against the Sooners in the Sugar Bowl. He has to improve his pass protection and ability to handle speed rushers.

Kouandjio needs to improve as a senior in 2014, but he has the athletic skill set to be better. Koundjio has dealt with multiple knee surgeries but finally was healthy in 2013. Koundjio should stay at guard going forward rather than moving to tackle.

It's called getting "Spaighted". Opposing players will find out next year, Riley better pick it up or he will be replaced by Spaight.

Eff Riley. He better be replaced by someone. He sucks. I forgot how horrible he was until you posted that.

Reminds me of Reed Doughty. If we have to rely on Kyshoen Jarrett as a starter then we're probably in bad shape, as was the case when Doughty was forced into duty. But try as they might the coaches couldn't find someone to unseat Doughty on the roster. High character, high effort, strong contributor on special teams. You need those guys.

I don't like his chances at going the Kam Chancellor route but you just never know in the NFL. And if we've got a Reed Doughty on our hands then it was a successful 6th round pick.

That's exactly what I thought, Reed Doughty.

Re: Four Five Six Seven

I think Jarrett is faster than Reed , He returned punts at VT . I think he had a 94 yd return for TD . I know he isn't a 4.4 guy , but hopefully he can compete and push the other young guys.

Re: Four Five Six Seven

Reed isnt even close to the hitter Jarrett is and Jarrett also got his hands on more balls in passes defensed and ints stats. That could be just scheme at Tech.

If you look at Combine drills, Jarrett lead the DB in Bench press reps and 3 cone drill.

He is faster in space and stronger than Reed. The thing killing Jarrett is his size...5-10

I wouldn't be surprised if Spaight unseats Riley, the more I read about him the more I like him.

Re: Four Five Six Seven

And that story meshes with one Bielema heard from Spaight's coaches at Coffeyville Community College. An ankle injury prevented him from playing one week, but the coaches didn't trust him to not dress and be tempted to enter the game. So they took his gear out of his locker, forcing him to watch in street clothes. Later that night, as coaches reviewed film, they heard a noise on the practice field. It was Spaight, in full uniform, going through a three-hour workout.
I love this draft.......
Good article SF!

He ran 4.57 at the Combine.

Yup, and followed it up with a 4.49 at his pro-day.

Kysheon fits a Reed Doughty role in that he's a back-up S and a core special teams player...but as far as physique and playing style? Completely different.
