Re: With the 17 pick, the Washington Redskins select...
I dont know who we should draft but I think Cousins will be traded to Cleveland,it just makes too much sense for both teams.Cleveland has multiple picks and desperately need a qb and they whiff on drafting qbs.Washington has pooched the Cousins negotiations and probably wont be able to sign him to a long term deal, plus we still dont have a GM and I think Snyder wouldnt mind sticking it to Cousins a little bit for playing hardball.
Even if it doesnt happen this weekend that doesnt mean its out of play even if Cleveland drafts a qb.If the Skins think enough of the qb the Browns drafted they could swap QBs and some draft picks involved in there somewhere.
Really? I would HATE it if this happens.... |
Re: With the 17 pick, the Washington Redskins select...
If we have zero intention of raising our offer to sign Cousin which will lead him to leave, then trading him makes sense.
To me this would be a horrible decision and would set the franchise back. |

I doubt that will happen in the next 8 hours I like the idea though. |
Re: With the 17 pick, the Washington Redskins select...
I wouldn't be surprised if we did trade
Kirk. |
Re: With the 17 pick, the Washington Redskins select...
i sincerely hope that we do not trade kirk.
not even kirk and the 17th for the 1st and 12th. |

With the 17 pick, the Washington Redskins select...
Cousins isn't getting traded unless it's a ridiculous offer, like bigger than the RG3 deal.

yes. w the chance of him being dealt before or during the draft, signing him has not been an urgent matter. if he's still on the roster after the draft, it becomes a much bigger priority before the deadline in july. |
Re: With the 17 pick, the Washington Redskins select...
You guys hurt my head. Cousins is not getting traded.

I like the idea though.
Yeah thats a good point,Cleveland has made some questionable deals but they probably wouldnt trade for Cousins unless a deal was worked out beforehand, and I think the skins would only do it if it was done without Kirk knowing about it beforehand. I think I had read earlier that Kirk was concerned if he signed the tag that he might be traded to cleveland,so he def does not want to go there. |

Re: With the 17 pick, the Washington Redskins select...
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Redskins have discussed acquiring another first-round pick, and that Michigan LB/S Jabrill Peppers could be a target.
Per Rapsheet, the Redskins have discussed trading back into the "late" first round. That's where Peppers seems most likely to come off the board. neat |

Re: With the 17 pick, the Washington Redskins select...
Ian Rapoport is reporting that we're trying to trade back and potentially target Jabrill Peppers. The tweet below was in response to Mike Garafolo.
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet: Redskins have discussed trading back into late 1st. This could be a target. They need secondary help. Mike Garafolo @MikeGarafolo Mentioned on @nflnetwork just now: Skins contingent including Bruce Allen worked out/had dinner with Jabrill Peppers in Ann Arbor last wknd. |
