First Trump and McConnell saved baseball...now they are trying to save college football

(Reuters) – The U.S. trade deficit surged in August to the largest in 14 years, with imports climbing again, suggesting that trade could be a drag on economic growth in the third quarter.

The Commerce Department said on Tuesday the trade deficit jumped 5.9% to $67.1 billion, the widest since August 2006.

Don't worry Sunny, you'll get your coronavirus relief as long as you vote Trump. Don't vote Trump? Fuck you, you didn't need it anyways.

Wait, so the SCJ pick has to be crammed through before the election but much needed stimulus relief can wait? Makes sense.

Priorities.

Need to make sure the SC can confirm Trump as the next president, while also making sure it leans conservative for the next 40 years. No way they would prioritize helping average Joe's in desperate need over that.

Constitution

and stimulus relief bill proposed by Dems was full of bullshit and the GOP bill wasn’t big enough

But in Virginia Democrats rammed thru a sales tax increase, even when coffers were overflowed last year from the Trump tax cut. Instead of delaying the tax increase do the COVID crisis, they raised taxes anyways.

Was is it ok for Democrats to raise taxes during the COVID crisis?

Don't give me constitution with what happened in 2016

Re: Trump Accomplishments

2014 republicans took control of the Senate and effectively stopped confirming President Obamas federal court nominees under Mitch McConnell. That allowed a slew of empty federal court positions to sit for Trump/McConnell.

2016 to 2020, allowed Republicans to ram through very conservative, young and inexperienced judges.

-------------------

Going forward ... if the Senate is controlled by a different party than the President, I dont think we will have any more federal court confirmations.

It is what it is.

There are more Democrats then Republicans in this Country and the gap is only widening as republicans base of older people die off and young people are turned away from the religious platform.

McConnell and Co. won this round .. but they set the table for majority rule.

Majority is democrat. Perhaps within 10-20 years, it will be democrat President and Senate for many terms.

Table is set.
