Thanks gents. And the Cowboys are the first to clinch a playoff spot with a Washington loss.

I had a bad feeling about this game. Glad I got drunk watching San Diego State win last night so I was too tired to drink again today.

Kirk was under heavy pressure all night. Worst our oline has looked in weeks.

If cousins could have got it there the WR had plenty of room to run. Needed backs for pass pro.

Arians blitzed the entire drive. Why not call some protection and quick slants?

Can't blame kirk, bad pass but he had to throw. That's called a DC with balls. Barry needs to be fired after this yr.

Like I said, this game wasn't going to be a picnic. Arizona was a SB favorite and played like it today. We looked rusty, committed plenty of penalties. Gotta get ittogether for the rest of their remaining games.

sdskinsfan2001 12-04-2016 07:42 PM

Re: Skins Vs Card Game Day Thread

We just can't win with the players we have on defense right now. Can't expect the offense to score 30+ every damn game. Especially against a good defense on the road.

We ideally need at the very least 4 new starters. But we legitimately need 6-7 new starters. Including some team speed. We have a slow slow defensive roster. No explosive players.

Sorry buy Arizona did not play all that well today. We jusy sucked all around but especially on defense and pass protection.

The Cardinals coached that game like a team that has given up on their season and has nothing to lose. Teams playing for something don't go for 4th and 1's at their own 35 when they're winning. Or just call Madden blitzes all drive.

"Has" to play them twice? I'd say gets to play them twice. That's at least 1 win.

When do they play Dallas? They might have their playoff seed already locked up.

Can't lose to 4-6 teams if you're trying to make the playoffs.

CRedskinsRule 12-04-2016 07:52 PM

Re: Skins Vs Card Game Day Thread

They play new Orleans Dallas new Orleans Carolina. Not an easy schedule. But I agree we needed that win today. Plus as ridiculous as it sounds now Arizona holds the tie breaker against us. Since they are the only team that could conceivably tie us.

Re: Skins Vs Card Game Day Thread

We are not a playoff team. We can't beat the best with only half a team. I take back what
I said about retaining
Barry. We have a
D populated by scrubs. The only real way to compensate for that is being ultra aggressive. The 4-3 is looking better by the week. Only one team from the east is looking playoff bound. Next week is a must win for us. Actually they all are at this point. The NFL is getting extremely lame. Most of the playoff teams sans the
Cowboys and
Patriots are rather mediocre. Not one of these teams could come close to beating a
NFC East team from the 80's .

Re: Skins Vs Card Game Day Thread

Needed that win today - we are at two losses in a row now and that isn't good heading into December. O line injuries an obvious problem.

Trent shares some blame here - our best O lineman out for 4 games and when you lose close ones when pass protection is bad, you can wonder whether his presence makes the difference.

Re: Skins Vs Card Game Day Thread

Just like everything else with the Redskins, they have to make getting to the playoffs as difficult as possible. Our goal is to never win more than 9 games. We're going for the 1/2 game improvement from last season. Aiming for 9-6-1. Now we have to win at least 3 of our last 4 to have a shot.

And why are the Bucs all of the sudden unbeatable?

FlyerSkin 12-04-2016 07:58 PM

Re: Skins Vs Card Game Day Thread

The team is a big tease anymore. They win 6 out of 8 then take a dump. This seems to be the standard operating procedure for much of the NFL.

sdskinsfan2001 12-04-2016 08:01 PM

Re: Skins Vs Card Game Day Thread

We had the ball up 3 with the ball at our 44 after the missed FG and Lauvao got absolutely destroyed and they got basically a free TD.

He played like absolute shit today, he's really the only guy that needs to be replaced on our offense now. The defense? Well, that's a whole other story. We got our asses kicked by a super predictable offense.

David Johnson legitimately might be a top 5 player in the NFL. He is legit. My first time seeing a full game of him.

You bringing up the
Bucs perfectly illustrates my point. They suck then get on a win streak, but really don't have a shot at the title. You have plenty of crappy teams flirting with greatness then the bottom falls out or vice versa. Philly is the same. Started great, now suck. In the end, all but a half dozen teams in the league are mediocre. The Skins included. The constant hype machine that is churned out every week by
NFL .com is a joke. It gets fans to buy into the facade that their team is really good.

One lineman shouldn't make a difference between a w or l. He doesn't play defense and the offense clicked the second half. We do not have a defense that can play consistently good.

One time it led straight to a sack fumble. That went on for a touchdown.

Re: Skins Vs Card Game Day Thread

I think we're definitely better than the next 3 teams we play and on par with the Giants. We can go 4-0.

That being said, we can't guarantee wins over anyone with our defense and red zone play calling.

Saints suck ass!!!! The Lions stuffed them!!!! You also have to worry about the Pack as well. The entire division is collapsing with the exception of
Dallas. I will die a thousand deaths if we choke against da Bears!!!!!!

KC was under tremendous pressure and TW certainly helps there. Not that Ty played poor and maybe we still lose. But don't underestimate not having the best LT in football on the field.
