Re: Will Saunders Affect Our QB Situation?
Brunell actually has a stronger arm than Green, in both distance and velocity.
i seriously doubt that. |
There are some that believe that Ramsey wasn't given a fair shake, and when he did, it was under Spurrier's rudimentary offense. Furthermore, they say that Gibbs unfairly yanked him before he could fully prove himself.
What's your point? |
What's your point?
His point is people assume that because we made the playoffs Brunell was the best choice, but that's not nessasarily the case, who's to say if Ramsey is the QB that we wouldn't have won the division and had a by, and possibly be on our way to detroit this week? At the very least it is no stretch to say that Ramsey could have guided us to the playoffs as well. Just because we made the playoff's doesn't mean that Brunell was the best man for the job, what it does mean is that Ramsey wasen't given a chance to prove otherwise. |

He would be correct since Brunell has already proven that he can lead us into the post season. We took a major step in the right direction with Mark Brunell playing quarterback for this team. There is no solid evidence that Patrick Ramsey could have done the same or better.
Just because we made the playoff's doesn't mean that Brunell was the best man for the job, what it does mean is that Ramsey wasen't given a chance to prove otherwise.
That doesn't make any sense. Of course it proves that Brunell was the best man for the job. You have no proof to debate with me on this. Only excuses. |

Your kidding right? No solid evidence? How could he not have done the same? In case you didn't notice Brunell did nothing the last 3 games, I believe Patrick is capable of doing nothing and allowing our defense to win games for him. Do you think Brunells play in the playoffs was a major step in the right direction? |

Yeah, Taylor Jacobs is a homo. He needs to go back home on a greyhound.

I like Ramsey and think whatever happens to him in the future he will get better, there is no way he has reached his full potential for the exact reason you stated above. He may have been in the NFL for 4 years, but he was being coached by all College coaches not even nfl assistants, with College schemes in a complex nfl defensive system where it is essential to have good coaches to help you develop and have a chance at being good. Essentially in my mind as far as Ramsey and his development it did not start until Gibbs got here. Those who think Ramsey could develop into anything those first two years are just foolish. That being said I hardly think you can even judge any of the QB's in Gibbs first year it was just horrible performance for whatever reason, but I can assure you it was not all Ramsey.I do think Ramsey is gone, but he will be a starter for another team in this league and do well. Ramsey has had a short leash for some reason by all his coaches, Spurrier circus of carousel QB and Gibbs this year after one game. He just has not had a fair shake. |

Brunell had only 11 ints in 18 games... |
Re: Will Saunders Affect Our QB Situation?
If you stood behind Ramsey and said "Look out it's Warren Sapp!" He would get happy feet and fumble the ball.
He needs a change of venue. I don't think he trusts the offensive line here (and rightfully so). The poor guy has taken some serious punishment. He had his opportunity in '04 and in the preseason for '05. He is damaged goods. Take the 3rd rounder and let him try to salvage his career. Campbell is the #2 now. They used a 1st rounder on him and he was handpicked by Gibbs. I liked Ramsey. I just think he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. |
