Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
According to Lenny P., our first signing will likely be Adam Archuleta.
"Even the cap-strapped Washington Redskins had revved the engines to owner Dan Snyder's private jet, and were set to ferry in St. Louis strong safety Adam Archuleta for a first-day visit."
I said David Givens. However the Redskins haven't been good at hiding there hand (in other words Jason Campbell last year). So I'm gonna go with the notion that Archulta will be the first signing. |

Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
Seems to me we debated all last offseason about needing a big WR last year and look what happened, Moss sets the team record for receiving.
What I want is a productive WR across from Moss, regardless of height, which is vastly overrated if you ask me.
Thank you for saying what I was unable to say due to an uncontrollable desire to strangle #56fanatic. #56fanatic, it's not about agreeing with me. It's that your argument flat out made no sense. You said Bruce was too old and on the downside of his career, yet advocated for Moulds even though he's only one year younger. You said Bruce was small, but he's friggin 6 feet tall. It's not about agreeing with me, it's about forming a coherent argument. You come on the board all the time with knowledge that you think is right, and you don't even check your facts. It bothers the heck out of me. And until you stop doing it, I'm going to roundhouse kick you all over these message boards. |
Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
i don't care how tall the wide receiver is, i just want productivity. but height is an added bonus when you're in the red zone.

Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
Bryan Finneran
|
Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
I don't know about Finneran but Shaquille O'Neal wouldn't be able to get some of Vick's balls so maybe Finneran could be a sleeper.

Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
Okay. I'll take a shot.
The Skins first FA signing will be K Ryan Longwell because this FA market is deep in kickers and a good one could make a huge difference given the close games in this era of parity. |
Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
i think longwell will be on the list. i think he'll be a decent price.

Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
Why are there so may votes for Adam Archuleta? Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but his signing would probably mean we don't retain Ryan Clark. Clark is a beast (I know Gregg Williams and Marcus Washington think the world of him), and I'd hate to see him go since he's my favorite player. Not that it really matters to anybody else.
:vomit: :insane: :( |
Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
i read his scouting report and it says that he misses a lot of tackles and takes bad angles.
whoever said he was just like roy williams jr, touche. |
Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
Clark or Archuleta?
|
Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
archuleta
|
Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
That's a relief. I thought you were ripping on Clark. :biggthump
Clark will never be a pro bowler or big star, but his work ethic, guts, and hard-nosed style of play make him a classic Gibbs kind of guy. He reminds me a little of another undersized safety, a former Redskin named Alvin Walton. |
Re: Predict our first major player acquisition
no way i love clark. he might not be the greatest but hes a team guy and really down to earth.
