Cullens a DE in both the 3-4 and 4-3, and I guess you can slide him at DT in their front four

If Jenkins doesnt work out...

On Cullen Jenkins: @Michaelombardi says it could be a one-year, $4 million deal if Eagles cut bait after '11.

Terrible contract for Jenkins given his stock after GBs year. That could be a $10 million dollar mistake by his agent if CJ doesn't set the world on fire in 2011.

Sent from my Samsung Epic 4G.[/quote]It's not like we ever brought in the amount of talent they have over the last few days, no matter how much we spent. 1) Rarely was this quantity of talent available in any given offseason, 2) they've actually managed to GAIN draft picks over the course of their transactions.

I think Cullen Jenkins is a really good DE, but I'm not sure he's worth all of this hoopla. He had, what I believe, the best pass rushing linebacker since LT playing with him. Yes, I believe Matthews will be that good. One of the best cover corners in Charles Woodson. And had an offense that could score points and keep the pressure on the opposing offense.

So we have to take a few other things into consideration and look at the market in context. Will Jenkins have a better or at least a comparable cast around him in Philly, I'm willing to say hell yes. Would he be just as dominant as a Redskin given the pieces we have right now, I think that's a big question mark.

I think the Bowen signing will have the biggest impact of all the FA the Redskins have signed. He will have a breakout season and the Cowboys fans will be pretty pissed off. I really like the Bowen signing, better than signing Jenkins who I consider a little over rated.

And if Philly was so sold on Jenkins, why hedge and sign him to this conditional deal with the opt to cut him next year.

This. Somehow the CJ camp played their negotiating cards badly.

If only we had a couple of extra stud QBs or LBs we could trade for draft picks... at least we managed to get a few late round 2013 picks...
