Re: Good, bad and ugly. Post game reactions vs Dolphins
I expected Scherff to do well, but goddamn Moses REALLY looked outstanding out there. That was such a bullshit penalty for driving his guy into the sideline. Feels nice to have someone "develop" and turn into something solid. Feel like we let way too many guys like that go. I hate a loss but I saw some true signs of potential.
I would have been happier if previously shitty teams like the Rams/Titans/etc. had lost. Makes me wonder how far we have to go.
That play reminded me of The Blind Side, when Michael Oher did the same thing. Even though it was a penalty I was proud of Moses, honestly it felt like the first time I'd ever seen some fight in him. It looked bad since the other guy wasn't his size though. |

It looked somewhat bad I agree, but those are the plays coaches love. I guarantee Callahan was applauding Moses for literally taking his man out of the play. I've said it before, this team is playing with some pride and it's so refreshing. Guys out there WANT to win and they're gonna hit you in the mouth if they have to, to accomplish that goal. |
I don't buy that for one second. He had no problem with passing the ball on third and forever where most competent coaches would have called a draw or a screen pass. Can you explain that?
He's also playing two very young guys against Suh and Wake. I didn't have a problem with being conservative. |
Re: Good, bad and ugly. Post game reactions vs Dolphins
Great to see the o-line--how long has it been? Love seeing how Scherff gets to the second level and finishes plays. He was flying around even on screens and stuff. If he and Moses can continue this trajectory, we're getting somewhere. And the rest of the line looked good as well.
The D-line was good too. This is a proper inside out build. Takes time, but this is correct. Too bad Gallett never made it out there. Great to see Kerrigan back in form! Bad: Teams, obviously. Amerson. Roberts. Red zone! Ugly: shit, injuries are just killing us. Wow. About the bitching about playcalling. I give it a pass. First, we're trying to establish a run/power identity. That means sticking with it, "conservative" though that may seem. Second, DJax's injury took a bunch of the deep looks off the table. That had to change things. Third, penalties. You can blame that on the coach, but it makes it hard to call plays. We |

So who starts in place of Nacho? Jeron probably, or can Robinson play SS?

Here's what happened on the redskins last play (4th and 7) Reed is a hell of a tight end, but must correct this. http://t.co/QDYGQjten8

Gruden said it after the game, it was cover 0, Reed needed to cross the face of the safety. Cousins threw to the right spot but nobody was home. |
Re: Good, bad and ugly. Post game reactions vs Dolphins
There were a lot of positives from the game.
Preston Smith forced two fumbles and recovered one. DHall looks fully recovered from his injury. We had training wheels on Moses and Scherf but I think we can take them off and see what they can do. We have a few really good guys to help rebuild this team at key positions. |
Re: Good, bad and ugly. Post game reactions vs Dolphins
It's time for Ross to get on the field anyway. He played the entire pre season, played very well, now it's time to get his chance. Tired of Jackson and his prima donna act. He didn't play any in the preseason cause he's hurt, comes out week one and pulls a hammy running a go route. Obviously his body wasn't ready for NFL ball. They're paying him 8 million or so for this??
Also tired of Roberts and him dropping passes. I'm so done with that dude. Garcon, Crowder, Grant and Ross need to be out there as much as possible.
Totally agree about Jackson not being ready for the season, but does Ross have the type of speed Jackson does?? |

Ugly: shit, injuries are just killing us. Wow. We
I can't remember ever seeing so many injuries across not only the League but college too. I don't know if I just haven't been paying that much attention but it seems like football players are dropping like flies. Fortunately we're not the only team fighting it. |

I see it a little differently. He could've sat out a week to wait until he was ready or played soft this week but he gave it all he had on that route. He's not as durable as I would've hoped but when he plays he plays. To me, I see him as Santana Moss. #1 receiver today but 2 years from now, I see him in the slot. I think Jay and Scot are going to want some bigger, more physical guys at #1 and #2 anyway. |

Good cover of the entire game. This writer is new...at least to me. Really like his coverage.

Re: Good, bad and ugly. Post game reactions vs Dolphins
The good.. The physicality. I haven't seen this team play real football in a long time. They played with fire Sunday.
The bad.. penalties and special teams the ugly.. the fans. I felt outnumbered at a season opener at home and that pisses me off. The fans that were there were bitching the whole game, up by 10, bitching.. F**K those guys. We have some serious fair weather fans. |

The Skins are known for having a loyal fan base. Definitely not a good thing to see all the fins fans in attendance...... |
