Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
Here's a decent little recap on who is still out there:

Sports[/url] I wouldn't mind making a play for any of those three OLBs (all of whom could play weakside) - Crowell, June, or Keiaho. |

This move coupled with Reggie Williams' departure (idiot), and Matt Jones' arrest again (moron) probably increases the chances that the Jags will pass on an OT and select a WR...which could help us |
Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
YA the jags really like crabtree Harbin and maclin I've heard

Yeah what a fool this guy is. As much as it looks like they need a WR, I could see them taking Sanchez. Garrard looked bad last year and he's 31. |
Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
When will the Skins go after theses two players??? And who do we need to cut to fit them under the cap?
Best avaliable 1-10 under 30yrs old 6. Khalif Barnes, OT: If the evaluation was based on size and talent alone, he wouldn’t even be on the market. But Barnes has had trouble off the field, and gave up 7½ sacks and committed nine penalties last season. He’s still young (26) and if he could get some discipline in his life, he could be a good starting tackle well into his 30s. 7. Angelo Crowell, LB: Some personnel men think his decision-making is inconsistent, but he was undeniably productive before suffering a season-ending knee injury last year. He’s got the size and speed to play inside or out in either a 3-4 or 4-3. If it weren’t for the lag of that knee injury, he’d be long gone by now. |

Angelo Crowell could be a solid pickup.. |
Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
Galloway to the Pats, Barnes finally decided to sign with the Raiders

Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
We must have figured that Barnes is NO upgrade to Heyer or Jansen. I trust the FO's judgement but I really thought he would've been more productive at the RT position.

Probably. Or probably not worth what it would cost for the amount of improvement he would've provided. |
