I just started watching Eastbound and Down. I watched the entire first season last night. Season 2 has just started but I haven't seen the new episode yet. It has it's moments but I keep finding myself wanting to slap th shit out of Kenny Powers.
That is an awesome show. Get me Paid! |

I'm also really enjoying Boardwalk Empire. It reminds me of Deadwood in terms of scope and range of characters. I like how they've sort of reversed roles in that Steve Buscemi is great as a likable bad guy whereas the federal agent Van Alden (can't think of the actor's name) is so creepy and intimidating.
Yeah, this show is rock solid. The agent (Michael Shannon) is perfectly cast- the dude is an extremely underrated actor... check him in Bug (which he performed on stage first) and Runaways. I'm really digging "Raising Hope" right now. Rubicon is really interesting, but it's way too slow for most of my friends. Modern Family's and Community's season openers were riots. And I absolutely can't wait for Walking Dead. AMC owns. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
There had been some talk of AMC reviving the original Law & Order. Would be interesting to see what they would do with it. I want to check out Terriers. Heard it's great

That would be really cool re: Law & Order... the show already has some pretty extreme cases, so it would be interesting to see AMC handle it. Thanks for reminding me about Terriers- I totally forgot about that show... F/X never disappoints. |

Anybody see Nick Swardson Pretend Time last nite? Looks to be pretty funny...His stand up is solid

I caught the Donkey Show skit, and that was funny...my wife wasn't amused and she changed the channel (she got to the remote before me). We've been watching Mike & Molly on Mondays and added Outsourced to the shows we DVR on Thursday. Both are pretty good. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I know this is not new but I just started watching Breaking Bad, GOD THAT IS AN AWESOME SHOW!

Strap yourself in... because this show only gets better as the seasons progress. |

I like American Pickers and Pawn Stars.

Agreed on Sunny- it's been on a nose-dive since switching writers. Although I do like Eastbound this season... I think the humor is a little darker than season 1. Keep your dvr on an extra half hour after Sunny- The League is bonkers. |

I just got into Dexter. I am still on season 4 though so don't ruin it for me.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
The miniseries "The Pillars of the Earth" is the shit. If you have Netflix check it out, if you don't I don't know what to tell you...rob your neighbor for it or something, I don't know, shit...find a way.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I'm really liking The Event, but I'm with you. The first two shows are:
"18 years ago..." then, "4 minutes ago..." then, "6 months ago..." then, "7 hours later..." then, "18 years ago from this character's perspective..." then, "7.9 seconds ago from this character's perspective..." It's absolutely complicated so far, but I'm hoping once we get the back story it'll be a lot better.
I just tried watching episode one on HULU. The show didn't grab my attention in the first 5 minutes so I had to shut it down. |

I saw the movie first and then I was flippin channels back in the day on DirecTV and came across the 101 channel, and it used to come on there every week. But when I switched back to DTV a few weeks ago I tried to set it up so it DVR'd it and I haven't been able to find it, it doesn't come on there anymore. It was uncensored on the 101 network too :( |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I'm starting to get a little pissed with The Event as well. I mean they are aliens and I'm supposed to just watch the back and forth with nothing popping off ? I'm sticking with it because I have some time while at work. It kills a little under an hour for me so hey, you take the L.
Has anyone seen Bradley Coopers new show Kitchen Confidential ? |

The previews for next week didn't give me a lot of hope. The show had a lot of promise, but man, it's slowing down so much. |

Yea, it's a good show but it's one of those shows that I don't know how much time I'm going to have to devote? I'm I going to have to watch for 5 seasons just to know what's going on? I like for my shows to at least progress forward and give at least some assemblence of closure occasionally. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Anyone see 30 for 30 about Tim Richmond this week. Very good show. I've heard of the guy, but never knew anything about him. Great driver who like to party (who didn't in their twenties) too much i guess. Drove alot like Dale Sr I guess. Brought back alot of memories about the AIDS scare of the 80's. It's amazing how little info we had back then.
I'm putting two and two together and although they didn't say it, I guess some of Days of Thunder were based on Tim Richmond? Not all, but some similarities. Anyone else see it? |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Yeah I was praying for them to start executing the aliens but noooooooooooo it was all a bunch of talk. JUST when things looked up. Well at least I have Fringe.
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Anyone watching the show Outsourced?
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
I've tried watching Outsourced a few times, honestly I think it really blows. I get about 10 minutes in and I'm bored to tears. I wish they would bring back Parks & Recreation already.
Where's Ron Swanson when you need him |

I LOVED that show the first two seasons and since I have Dish I don't get it until the season after it comes out. It's one of those shows that I'll be sad it's gone, but how many years can Coach Taylor take a rag-tag bunch of misfits and turn them into state champs? |

I like that it's ending after 5 great seasons rather than dragging on, but it's amazing how they managed to turn over almost the entire cast without skipping a beat. They could probably go a few more seasons if they wanted to. I'll definitely be sad when it ends. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Man sitting at work I watch almost everything while killing time. Outsourced is a pretty ok show. Not hilarios but ok. I have to agree saden the last episode was funny.
The last season of Friday Night Lights ? Oh well I figured it would have to end eventually. Well Malcolm you have to catch the past season. It was one of the best IMO. Sad to see the show go, I think it was vastly underrated and underused by NBC but what do I know ? |
